Back again, this time with all the data!
Thu, 12/19/2024 - 22:10 — ConCen
Data corruption combined with an operating system upgrade created an unstable database. I tried rolling back to older database snapshots, but none were working until I got all the way back to March 2024. Once I got that working, I tried applying the now stable templates to the latest backup. It failed. However, the previous one worked!
Drupal 7 goes End Of Life January 2025, so a software update is inevitable. Hopefully it won't suck. Wish me luck...

Thanks!
Thanks for the huge work!
I can feel your situation. All the new programs -we are forced to use them - are bigger, but not better. This is a squirrel wheel we are forced into. And... no one is willing to pay for it.
Again, thanks for you, and marry christmas to everyone!
Thank you dear Concen!

Drupal sucks
I de-drupalized a site recently. I couldn't find anything redeeming about drupal. The only thing that seemed like a nice touch is that file extensions do not appear in the adress bar for pages... but it's hard to justify using drupal just for that. It's a nice touch for human readability or search engines maybe. Anyway, since I went through it I thought I'd throw you a tip; you may find that throwing the code below into your .htaccess keeps the links working (I'm sure there are links out there on the internet) for files with extensions behind the scenes but still not appearing so in the adress bar (in my case for PHP pages):
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^([^\.]+)$ $1.php [NC,L]
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for the tip!
Do you have a preferred CMS?
Project Gazelle
it's what runs the best torrent sites and seems open source
