A documentary tracing 150 years of American wealth concentration, from Rockefeller to Musk, examining economic milestones like the 1929 crash, Reagan's policies, and the 2008 financial crisis through archival footage.
Part 1: A Paradise for Millionaires (1870-1920)
The USA was already a paradise for millionaires 120 years ago: entrepreneurs like John D. Rockefeller accumulated enormous wealth without any significant tax liability. A progressive movement was formed against the training of workers. However, the influence of the super-rich on politics makes social progress difficult. The conflict continued to escalate.
Part 3: Who Wants to be a Billionaire? (1981-Today)
In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan and the Conservatives enforced a policy of deregulation and tax reduction. Silicon Valley became the new El Dorado for young companies. Millionaires and large corporations soon knew how to apply their rights exactly and thus escaped their tax liability.
