That's the situation after a LONG battle given I live in a [cheap] listed building and they STILL though a smart meter shud be fitted... There's a podcast somewhere on youtube where i discussed these events i believe.

I learned some tactics from when I knew the local nutty "devil worshiper" character in my home town.
I was there aged 17 when TV Licensing once arrived at his house and when they said "We have no record of a TV license here sir...?"
He replied - "I don't NEED a TV License - I'm the Son of Satan..." - I jest not.... never seen a uniformed "Jobsworth" type employee scoot down his pathway to their van so fast...
It worked too :-P
Life's too short to be accomodating/polite to corporate idiots who arrive at your door assuming their psuedo status will install fear....
