The end game of the WEF and its "Great Reset" is the social credit system currently rolling out in China. They want it implemented globally so that there is nowhere to avoid it. They can't do it unless they can take our money at will.
The social credit system is a wet dream for corporations and their government enablers. They get to build the surveillance system using your taxpayer money. They get to use the surveillance system to turn everyday misdemeanours like jaywalking or speeding into instant fines, deducted from your government registered bank account the moment you're caught. The government gets to label their enemies as subversives, unable to spend money, drive, ride public transit, or even hold a rental lease or property deed. The government will reward its boot lickers by forgiving an occasional infraction, but only while they keep licking.
Trudeau is a pet of Klaus and the WEF, as is the deputy prime minister and others in his inner circle. They believe that the end (Great Reset) justifies the means (complete takeover of the financial system).
The Emergency Act needs to be voted on by both the House of Commons and the Senate within 7 days. Trudeau claims that means 7 days that the Parliament is sitting. Not sitting that day? Not counted. If the emergency is genuine, then why delay ratifying it?
On Friday he built a fence around the Senate building and ordered MPs not to attend Parliament Hill. He is stalling the most important vote of our lifetimes because he wants to do as much damage to the protesters as he can.
Meanwhile the shock troops get to arrest people merely for being in an area the government has decided they cannot be in.
If they manage to make their banking powers permanent, the game is over. We'll have no choice but to force the government to revoke those powers, or live the rest of our (and our children's) lives as frightened slaves under the boots of fascists.

There is a piece about this on Bari Weiss's website:
https://bariweiss.substack.com/p/a-social-credit-system-arrives-in?token...
"It’s a Western version of China’s social credit system that does not altogether prohibit political dissent but makes it so costly that it becomes impractical to the ordinary citizen. "
