Get the facts!

Another problem with ultrasonographic diagnosis is its unreliability. Many times disorders appear in the ultrasonogram which, in reality, do not exist.

One book I recently read reported that studies done using ultrasound on laboratory animals found genetic alterations in chromosomes, decreased blood clotting ability, liver cell damage, brain enzyme damage, corneal (eye) damage. In some animals the EEG activity was altered (brain messages were confused) and reflexes were impaired (delayed). A study of human infants disclosed disruption of the spleen’s ability to produce antibodies with which to FIGHT DISEASE! These are among the many problems being recognized today.

In laboratory tests that have been virtually buried by the medical establishment ultrasound causes changes in DNA (think potential cancer later in life and potential birth defects in the next generation due to the fact that a girl is born with all of the eggs she will ever have - they simply ripen approximately 1 per month), changes in brain wave activity (think learning disabilities, emotional disorders, behavior disorders), and changes in liver enzymes (ability to digest food, ability to rid the body of toxic substances). It was associated in at least one long term study with something approximating a 500 percent increase in ADHD among children 1-5 years of age who were exposed to ultrasound while their mothers were pregnant with them. That study was stopped after 6 years because of inability to find further funding. It, like many others showing potential harm from ultrasound, was never repeated by another researcher or institution. The medical establishment (not to be confused with individual doctors who are trying to give their patients the best care possible with the knowledge they have) really wants to keep the ability to peer inside the womb. The establishment was very upset by loss of the use of x-rays for this purpose and they have determinedly buried information pointing out potential problems with ultrasound to prevent this same loss happening again.
