Biographical Film on Shri Nisargadatta Maharaj – Nirgunache Bheti – Tatvamasi

Nirgunache Bheti is a non-commercial biographical Marathi Film based on teachings and life of Shri Nisargadatta Maharaj. The English version of the film is titled Tatvamasi. The 99-minute film explores the teachings of Sri Nisargadatta. All his teachings were aimed at 'Know Your Real Self'.

When asked about the date of his birth Nisargadatta Maharaj replied blandly that he was never born! So what Nisargadatta wanted was to be aware of our state of being – pure simple being – without being this or that or the other.

The film will be available in Marathi as Nirgunache Bheti and in English as Tatvamasi.

Tat Tvam Asi - Tatvamasi - You Are That

A recently produced first biographical film on Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. The first part of the film is a narrated biography of Sri Nisargadatta, the second part consists of interviews and talks with Indian and Western devotees, many of whom knew Nisargadatta but have never appeared on film before. An interesting and very beautifully produced film with a strongly Indian aesthetic.

Nirgunache Bheti & Tatvamasi are the biographical films based on brief life history as well as the core teachings of Shree Nisargadatta. The teaching of Non-Duality - Advaita. As a matter of fact very little data or information about Nisargadatta was available anywhere. He would rarely speak about the personal events & aspects, yet some of the events are taken from the experiences shared by his closest disciples/students as well as from a few books available on Him.

We were fortunate to get a rarest ever discussion video recorded by some visitor (unknown to us) who met Nisargadatta in maybe late 70’s. These discussion/talks were edited and used in the Films which will give glimpses of what Nisargadatta taught. With the spontaneity of His words & expressions, thousands of them have been transformed. A question may be asked that what is this transformation!? Nisargadatta uncovers the deeper meanings of life so effortlessly just like a surgeon operating on a patient with utmost ease & expertise. His expressions never needed any support from the scriptures; but would always be based entirely on his Own Direct Understanding.
