Filmmaker Richard Symons asks members of the British government to support his campaign for truth in the Houses of Parliament, and attempts to get a pledge from MPs that they will never tell a lie.

First broadcast on the BBC in 2007 it was heavily cut and the DVD includes some of the most incendiary clips the BBC was too scared to show.

Currently there's no law in the UK that makes it an offence for MPs to deceive the electorate. Worse than that – there’s no way of removing a sitting MP, who can pretty much do what they like until the next general election rolls around.

The Ministry of Truth is part film, part deadly serious campaign. It's led to the Prohibition of Deception Bill - a law that makes it illegal for politicians to deceive the public.
