Synopsis

There is no other person in contemporary history who had an equally strong influence on the destinies of one hundred million people as Soviet dictator Josef Stalin.

He decided on the fate of a state for almost twice as long as his opponent Adolf Hitler. 160 million people lived in this state that covered a sixth of the world. Every important change in the Russian empire introduced after the October Revolution can be traced back to Stalin.

No one has ever counted the victims under his reign. It is certain that millions of people lost their lives under his rule in the Soviet Union.

In co-operation with Dmitri H. Volkogonov, retired senior general and Russian author of a Stalin biography, the author was able to access top-secret information in the Russian president`s archives and see many original documents.
