SOVIET MILITARY-DOLPHIN SOLDIERS

Reveals the once secret and gruesome experiments conducted by the Soviet Union to create a squad of "robodolpins" remotely controlled by land-based commanders.

They formed an elite unit of dolphin soldiers on the Black Sea, trained as aquatic 007s to defend naval bases, parachute from planes, find underwater mines, and attack infiltrating enemy frogmen. But when funding ceased, many were sold to marine parks, though some are now being used in therapy for disturbed children.
