Robby mentions the mainstream neocons again and the Gold Companies that advertise on those shows. Those companies state that some gold coins are liable to be confiscated and they steer you to other coins that they claim are not subject to confiscation.

Those other coins are often marked up as much as 30 to 40%..thus if Gold goes to $1700 a ounce then one might break even. Those companies often use famous personalities to push their product.
