The Church of Scientology is presumably against established psychiatry because it competes with their form of psychology: the revelation of painful memories, the treatment of mental images, in an environment that feels a lot more interested in people than psychologists will ever dare to be, and capable of dealing with even the worst garbage that might be uncovered.

This brochure is a supplement to the church's documentary with the same name.
