Wilde writes: “These hostile invaders, who are stated to be skilled in magic, necromancy and the black arts, are supposed by some writers, even in the present day, not to be human beings at all, but fairies or sprites.” ‘Sprites’ is ye olde-worlde English for spirits. Is it not interesting that these people were supposed not to be human at all, but spirits? Does this not perfectly fit the description of the evil fallen angels? These spirit men were probably the Druids of ancient Ireland who also practiced human blood sacrifices. No doubt these were also the builders of many of the ancient dolmens and tombs of Ireland such as the famous passage tomb at Newgrange. (There are approximately 1,400 passage tombs throughout Ireland). This large circular passage tomb covers several acres and is and made of stone. There is a narrow passage which leads into an inner chamber in the centre of the tomb. The 21st December is otherwise known as the Winter Solstice. On just this one day of the year, the sun rises and its light enters the narrow passage and illuminates the inner sanctum of the large structure.
