Roger Harrabin reports on the threat to the seas for Our World.

The oceans are the source of life and the primary food source for over 2 billion people

Many creatures will be threatened as carbon dioxide makes the oceans increasingly
acidic, some species may already have been harmed. Shell fish are particularly vulnerable the effects on coral which are the habitat of a multitude of sea life are thought to crucial.

As Roger Harrabin finds out, scientists fear we may be heading for a huge extinction in the seas.
