The 2053 nuclear tests and explosions that took place between 1945 and 1998 are plotted visually and audibly on a world map.

As the video starts out detonations are few and far between. The first three detonations represent the Manhattan Project and the two bombs that ended World War II. After a few representative minutes the USSR and Britain enter the nuclear club and the testing really starts to heat up.

Even though the video does not differentiate between sub-critical "safety" tests and full detonations, you get a good idea of the fever of the nuclear arms race.

The time line does not extent to tests by North Korea (October 2006 and May 2009).

Comment:

Now let us make a little thought experiment here: If all of these nukes had been released at the same time then an external neutral observer would have classified this process as an outright nuclear war. These nukes weren't directly used against cities or civilian targets but as far as the fallout is concerned there's absolutely no difference here. Let us make an assumption: Let us assume that there's an evil extraterrestrial civilization who is in the possession of psychotronic weapons. Let us further assume that with the help of these weapons they're capable of telepathically influencing the thoughts of human beings especially the ones of the world's leaders, and that they can make humans develop and use nuclear weapons by manipulating their thoughts. Let us assume that these alien beings had the intention of annihilating the human race by nuclear fallout which destroys the integrity of human DNA and thus means slow but inevitable long-term genocide.

Is it not possible that these aliens used their telepathic weapons to make humans cover their beautiful planet with hundreds of nukes and thus commit a kind of genetic suicide? This process was disguised as "nuclear testing" but actually it was an outright war against humanity. Just imagine the enormous amounts of radioactivity released by this fallout. If I had the intention of secretly annihilating the human race that's exactly how I would do it - if I was wicked enough. The term "test" was just used as a form of mind control to prevent humans from realizing that they were right in the middle of a war against their own race. On the other hand some say that humans are crazy enough to do this to themselves willingly without having been subjected to alien psychotronic weapons. But as I've already stated this is purely hypothetical. Now I suggest you collect as much data as you can to falsify my weird fringe-hypothesis. I wonder if you can.
