Although like most mainstream sources this documentary has a bit of propaganda mixed in with it (hence why it was alowed to be shown on television), but it's another example of how truly anti-Christian the Nazis really were.

The Nazis claimed to be Christian/Catholic in public to appease the Christian/Catholic masses. It's the same thing that politicians still have to do to this very day. It's not like he or any politician could go out there and say, "Hey folks, I thoroughly despise what you all believe in, and will work to destroy it relentlessly!" without expecting some sort of massive backlash.

It's like Goebbels states in his diary, "The best way to deal with the churches is to claim to be a 'positive Christian'."
