Monday, January 26th

Mickey Huff is a California-based Professor of History at Diablo Valley College, a Lecturer in Sociology at Sonoma State University, and an Instructor of Critical Thinking and Media Studies at Berkeley City College. He's also Associate Director of Project Censored (PC), the media democracy advocacy group. It researches and publishes vital news stories that are "underreported, ignored, misrepresented, or censored by the US corporate media."

Each year, it ranks the top 25 and publishes them in its yearbook, "Censored: Media Democracy in Action." The latest "Censored 2009: The top Censored Stories of 2007 - 2008" is now available for purchase online at projectcensored.org/store.

Discussion will focus on current major news stories.

Tuesday, January 27th

Catherine Austin Fitts is an investment advisor, entrepreneur, former Assistant Secretary of Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner under GHW Bush, and former Managing Director and board member of the Wall Street firm, Dillon Read & Co, Inc.

She's now the editor of Solari.com and runs Solari, Inc. It's an "online media company focused on ethical investment and preserving family wealth. Long ago, (she) made a promise (never again to) act against the best interests....of (her) own people (and to do her best) to leave a better world for generations to come."

Her current investment advice: "Bail out of Wall Street." The global economic crisis and Catherine's work will be discussed.

Michael Carmichael is a distinguished author and historian based in North Carolina. He worked in five American presidential campaigns for progressive candidates from RFK to Clinton. In 2003, he founded The Planetary Movement, a nonprofit public affairs organization. He has appeared as a public affairs expert on the BBC's Today, Hardtalk, and PM, as well as numerous appearances on ITN, NPR and European broadcasts examining politics and culture. He is frequent contributor to Global Research.

He will discussing prospects and policies of the new Obama Administration.

Friday, January 30th

Mazin Qumsiyeh is a scientist, author, and human rights activist. He's taught at Bethlehem University as well as at Tennessee, Duke and Yale. He's now President of the Palestinian Center for Rapprochement Between People and is active in campaigns to end the occupation of Palestine and boycott Israeli goods.

Israeli occupation and the Gaza conflict will be discussed
