These guided exercises, based on the teachings of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers, offers a place to begin the journey back to self and unity. Controlling your breath, posture, and your ability to relax and concentrate will lead you to a place of stillness, limitless power, and bliss.”

Swami Srinivasananda

Swami Srinivasananda was born in California in 1952. In 1969, he took his first yoga class, and during the following years the practice and philosophy became more and more integrated into his daily life. In 1977, Swami Srinivasananda moved to Quebec, where he found his guru and yoga master in Swami Vishnu-devananda at the Sivananda headquarters in Val-Morin.

Swami Srinivasananda was initiated by his guru as a swami in 1979. From 1980 to 1983, Swami Srinivasananda directed the Paris Sivananda Center; he directed the Los Angeles Center from 1983 to 1986. After years of study with his master, he became director of the Val-Morin Ashram, where he stayed from 1992 to 1994. Since 1994, Swami Srinivasananda, as the Acharya (senior teacher), heads a community of yoga practitioners at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch. He is also affiliated with the New York and Chicago Sivananda Centers, and the other Sivananda centers on the East Coast.
