Once you take into account the amount of land needed to grow food, and then make room for biodiversity, which is essential to our own survival, it makes sense to keep human population around the 1 billion mark. We don't need all the "useless eaters" :) :) :)

This doc says the opposite, so I thought I'd watch it.

I found this as a 5GB mov in three parts, no idea where, it was a while ago. I chained it together and shrunk it to a reasonable size.

All those loud-mouth types that keep using the cliche snippet:

"You could act-chew-welly - fit the whole population of the Earth in the car-park of Texas's biggest McDonalds outlet.."

- really miss several crucial points on the population issue. My main one is that in England, Celtic etc tribes NEARLY ALWAYS seem to have limited their "village" numbers and size to about 180 people. This seems to have been an unconscious, automatic thing.

- That's the size of ppl a human mind can cope with in a physical system. Plus I for one want as much distance a possible from my nearest neighbour... call me an anti-social tosspot... ;-)

:-D

Those comments at the top of the Reddit thread are funny.... I presume by them talking of a "human goo" compresses 1km wide globule - they are aligned with my point in their sarcasm/irony ??

- Or maybe I've missed the point - it wouldn't be the first time :-/
