LA cops kill homeless man

now you weill hear a taser doing it's merry clicky noise just before the shots...
its a VERY distincy and recognisable sound.
then the shots... a fuck lot of shots.. in fact 5.
now... think about it.. you are being tased.... how likely are you to be able to hold onto a gun never mind fight through the pain and the muscle spasms to grab a gun????
so i reckon the "drop the gun" crap you hear isn't all it seems... perhaps just to provide an excuse for what was a public execution.

now as reported in the press from a couple of sources

A homeless man was shot by Los Angeles police Sunday around 11:30 a.m. in Skid Row after officers responded to an altercation in the area.

In a video uploaded to Facebook, officers can be seen with two people. Two officers pull one person away. The other officers, who are farther from the camera, surround a man.

“Drop the gun,” officers shout several times with their own guns drawn. About five shots can be heard on the video.

Witnesses believed the man had been killed by police, but CBS reported he was taken to a hospital by paramedics. The Los Angeles Times later reported he was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after he arrived.

The Los Angeles Police Department did not immediately respond to BuzzFeed News requests for comment.

Witness also began shouting that they did not believe the man who was shot was armed.

Cmdr. Andrew Smith told the Times that police were responding to a report of a possible robbery.

According to the Times report, police approached the man, who began “fighting and physically resisting the officers.” An attempt to use a Taser “ineffective,” Smith said.

“At some point in there, a struggle over one of the officer’s weapons occurred,” Smith told the Times. “At that point an officer-involved shooting happened.”

Two officers were treated for injuries and released, Smith said.
As officers closed the street for investigation, a crowd gathered.
The shooting took place near the Union Rescue Mission, which provides a number of services to homeless people.

The video posted on Facebook showed the altercation leading to the shooting

A video has captured the moment US police shot and killed a homeless man during an altercation at a homeless camp in central Los Angeles.

The graphic film shows a violent struggle between the man and several officers in the city's Skid Row area.

Police say that three officers opened fire after the man tried to grab a gun from an officer.

The dead man, known on the street as Africa, had been homeless after treatment for mental illness.

Skid Row has a large homeless population.

The LA police department said officers had been responding to reports of a robbery and had attempted to use a Taser to subdue the suspect but he had "continued fighting and resisting".

No other gun was recovered at the scene, LA police commander Andrew Smith said.

Last year, highly publicised killings of black men sparked weeks of protests in the US.

Hours after the latest shooting, the hash tag #LAPDShooting was trending on Twitter in the LA area.

"As if the homeless aren't victims enough due to economic violence/marginalization, we have cops to shoot them point blank. Ugh," wrote one tweeter.

There's an agenda behind

There's an agenda behind these police defamation videos which can probably be traced back to the communist manifesto. People criticize and are ungrateful of the risks these officers take for them. They should take a walk in those areas and confront those mentally ill homeless people themselves; let's see how compassionate they are towards you.

It sounds to me like you are in favor of outright murder.

And before you accuse, my current job IS helping the homeless ( Veterans )... The ones who have simply fallen on hard luck as well as those who are now mentally ill because of the things they were ordered to do, or from just being "shell shocked".

So YES, I "confront" these people on a daily basis... And ya know what ? I have not had to kill even one.

The guy is no victim. He was

The guy is no victim. He was involved in a robbery and attacked the officers with intent to take their weapons. In such dangerous circumstances the use of deadly force is justified. The media has so successfully villianized the police that they have people defending criminals... what have we come to? This is the creation of another false martyr to incite a community to further violence against the police.

Well it is obvious you did not watch the video as the victim was already immobilized when he was repeatedly shot... Which begs the question of the sanity of the officer pulling the trigger simply because of the close proximity of the other officers while he was happily firing away.

wow..........

didn't you watch the video?.. they tased the shit out him and shot him.. 5 times.. point blank.
that's a fucking execution.. plain and simple.
And i perfectly understand the risks police officers go through.
As a former serviceman who has served in many theatres of war ,patrolling the streets of Northern Ireland when it wasn't so quiet......... I've been shot at literally countless times, I also was blown up in northern Ireland, stabbed in Kosovo...
Albeit, it's not my job, I also volounteer for two services charities.
With one i help veterans who have fallen on hard times get back on their feet... many of them homeless and many with mental health issues.. but i suppose you'd call them homeless criminal scum.
The Mark Wright Centre I help specifically with ex-servicemen with PTSD.
Being someone who still has nightmares about certain stuff and who has suffered from PTSD myself I can help guide them back towards grooviness as i know the score.
one week i spend mid-day to 7pm at V1P and the week after i spend a friday afternoon and Saturday at the Mark Wright Centre(Mark Wright was also a Parachute Regiment Soldier like me...albeit he was after my time).
even suspected.. SUSPECTED of robbery does NOT deserve execution such as happened.
Even if he was guilty.. he was known to be mentally ill and unmedicated.. that's lowers the bar on his cognitive and reasoning ability.
However.. Mr Parker_Lewis....... it's my opinion that you are quite a muppet to have come out with that shit.
So much for you being in touch with the spiritual world as you have claimed in previous posts eh?

To leave a location very abruptly; in a sudden hurry.

Derived from the popular 90's TV show, "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" in which the main character, Parker Lewis, and his group of close friends would sync their watches and speed off to implement one of their fool-hearted plans. The way they would speed off became synonymous to the main character's name.
Hurry and give me the keys...I've got to parker lewis before my wife comes back!
