I have a similar problem. I can read college-level material, but not for very long. My attention span has gotten worse since using Instagram and Twitter etc where everything is in very small bite-size bits of information. Of course, I was never really an academic type either, but have interests in diverse subjects as well.
I did see this on Audible. If I take the 40 dollar plunge, you will know within a day or two! LOL
I studied at one of the best universities in the world, arguably the best at the time.
Since I was a kid I would read Douglas Adams, Harry Potter, Terry Pratchett etc more or less full time. Like 12 hours a day without any problem.
Scientific material is more hard-going, but I could read it for hours at a time, and study more or less continuously.
But, sadly, mercury and tin from fillings has built up in my brain and brought a stop to that. I'll know it's gone when I can read again properly. I'm doing all the right things, it shoudl be a matter of time only.
As it is I can't pay attention to things for more than 10-20 minutes at a time.
The research and information from Judy Mikovits has been brought to my attention by 2 ConCen users: zoopenhoff and Jewels. There is a lot to it and I haven't gotten a sort of summary of her work boiled down to a simple headline, but it definitely seems worthy of more attention.
For that reason, I finally got the audiobook and will upload it here.
