John P. Boyle - US Patent #3759607 - Occult Illuminator System

Back in the 70's Prentice-Hall published a couple of pattern books by John P. Boyle showing how to build Psionic generators and ESP research equipment. Charles Cosimano refers to these books. This is one of the gadgets featured in those books, which Boyle actually patented, believe it or not!!

What is it, and what does it do? Well, this is basically a truncated pyramid with a few additional frills. I haven't built one (yet) but apparently it allows one to see unusual things inside it.
