North Korea threat...John believes among this North Korea threat could be in the form of an EMP attack, as it could be the perfect way (according to John) to destroy the United States and bring us 'down'. John maintains that shutting down the power grid would mean no America in the normal sense.

John says the cars will still run despite a EMP, but keep your fuel tank topped off. Make sure you have preparation items close by and ready to use. John says this is serious stuff and we should be ready.

Scientist and Engineer Ann Morrison is here again for her weekly Friday visit. Ann mentions that embassies are being closed. Bird flu in China creates deep pnemonia and they are running out of respirators, this is 50% fatal according to Ann. The flu has a long incubation period thus making it difficult to keep track of it.

Ann mentions solar flares. If your satellite TV goes out and the weather is clear it could be a solar flare. Ann discusses comets that will appear this year and in 2014. At 24:00 a caller asks about the Canary Islands and the Indian Ocean.

Hanford Tank Explosion risk, they were a plant that produced plutonium and created waste and mixed and then dumped into single walled barrels. In the 70's the barrels were bulging. The barrels were transfered into double walled barrels. People living in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver are at risk if these explode and the wind is carrying toward those directions. Ann suggests getting radiation detectors.
