Another nail in the coffin for dead man on a stick religion: 'Jesus NEVER existed': Writer finds no mention of Christ in 126 historical texts
Writer Micheal Paulkovich has claimed that there is a little evidence for a person known as Jesus existing in history (painting of The Last Supper pictured).
* Writer Michael Paulkovich has claimed that there is little evidence for a person known as Jesus existing in history
* Jesus is thought to have lived from about 7BC to 33AD in the Roman Empire
* However Paulkovich says he found little to no mention of the supposed messiah in 126 texts written in the first to third centuries
* Only one mention of Jesus was present, in a book by Roman historian Josephus Flavius, but he says this was added by later editors
* He says this is surprising despite the 'alleged worldwide fame' of Jesus
* And this has led him to believe that Jesus was a 'mythical character'
Historical researcher Michael Paulkovich has claimed that Jesus of Nazareth was a 'mythical character' and never existed.
The controversial discovery was apparently made after he found no verifiable mention of Christ from 126 writers during the 'time of Jesus' from the first to third centuries.
He says he is a fictional character invented by followers of Christianity to create a figure to worship.
The claims were made in an article for Free Inquiry called The Fable of the Christ and a book called No Meek Messiah.
In the article and book, Paulkovich says he found an absence of evidence for Jesus in historical texts.
And he says this is surprising despite his 'global miracles and alleged worldwide fame.'
The 126 texts he studied were all written in the period during or soon after the supposed existence of Jesus, when Paulkovich says they would surely have heard of someone as famous as Jesus - but none mention him.
'When I consider those 126 writers, all of whom should have heard of Jesus but did not - and Paul and Marcion and Athenagoras and Matthew with a tetralogy of opposing Christs, the silence from Qumram and Nazareth and Bethlehem, conflicting Bible stories, and so many other mysteries and omissions - I must conclude that Christ is a mythical character,' he writes.
'"Jesus of Nazareth" was nothing more than urban (or desert) legend, likely an agglomeration of several evangelic and deluded rabbis who might have existed.'
Of the writings he examined, written from the first to third centuries, he found only one book that contained a mention of Jesus - The Jewish Wars by the Roman historian Josephus Flavius written in 95 CE, but he claims it is fabricated.
Paulkovich says the mentions of Jesus were added later by editors, not by Josephus.
Even in the Bible Paulkovich says Paul, often credited with spreading what would become Christianity, never refers to Jesus as a real person.
'Paul is unaware of the virgin mother, and ignorant of Jesus' nativity, parentage, life events, ministry, miracles, apostles, betrayal, trial and harrowing passion,' he writes.

pretty much the only "contemporary" text mentioning him is Josephus' antiquities of the Jews... however experts have dismissed the passages due to analysis showing that they were later additions to the tract and thus forged. Origen and Eusebius get the blame ,both singularly and as a team
which pretty much backs up what you say....
BTW Josephus Flavius was a turncoat (Born Yosef ben Matityahu).. in the Jewish rebellion of 70AD he was a Jewish General who, once he was that the Jews were gonna get their asses handed to them on a high hat(maybe a Mebakker hat :P ) he then switched sides and fought for the Romans.
He then write his antiquities of the Jews where the forged entries were to later turn up.
It it reckoned by most serious scholars that the addition happened in the late 3rd to early 4th century.
After the war he then stayed out his life in Rome, in luxury as a reward.
He blatantly wrote with a severe pro-Roman bias.. lol
If Jesus never existed, why do so many people curse His name? (As predicted in Scripture)
I never hear people curse Vishnu, Bhudda, Thor, Odin, Zues et alia....
the answer to that is simple.. due to you being a racist prick Mike.. you don't ,mix with ethnic minorities to hear them say any cursing... if only you watched the Big Bang Theory.. you'd hear Raj saying a fair few times "I swear to Vishnu..."
now as for this ...
no.. just dolts like you... :)
cultural habits....
buddha... those names are exclaimed in the same way people exclaims "JESUS CHRIST" in the relevant places
btw Jesus was a brown ,Semitic, JEW!..... worship that JEW.. YOU LOVE IT!
Thought-forms and memes are as real as it gets.
Now that millions upon millions have participated in the Jesus narrative, no matter if there was an actual human who lived and said what "Jesus" did or said does not matter, it's out there in the ether, akashic, etc, and in your mind.
Moreover, it is claimed that when many people share a thought-form for long enough the thought-form becomes the host or transforms into (not sure which and when) an independent being that can control masses and even civilisations if the being grows into what is often called a Dominion. Names don't really matter it's the concept.
Jesus is not the only thought-form/meme that has been created by millions of human minds, most all Gods (i.e.what I see as False Gods...) are related somehow to them, memes and independent entities.
This is why the news, hollywood, negative thoughts, religions pimping false gods, etc., are very dangerous and should be avoided; the controllers (i.e. culture creators) know about the power of thought-forms use them to program people and keeps them slaves to culture (aka Babylon).
Take your mind back, if you can...

This dude goes into mad detail, but the nuts and bolts of it are that more than likely, someone named Jesus did exist at that time and place as there are two non-christian historical mentions of him (Josephus and Tacitus); however, the miracle/son of god rubbish has no true basis outside of the religion... In fact it is known that the Josephus text was interpolated. The main point he makes is two historical mentions is pretty good for that time.
Josephus as discussed before didn't write that at all.. they were shown to be later additions to his books.
Same with the mention in Tacitus
have a gander here

there are plenty of places by some serious biblical academic who also show these are later entries and thus false entries to these accounts
The Bible is God's living word, preserved both here on earth and in heaven for eternity, meaning after you die the word contained in the Bible goes on as call to repentance until he returns to judge.
The message it contains does not mince words and explains in very clear language God's displeasure of us having been made in the image of God but having the mind of the Devil, provoking his wrath and punishment which is so extreme it defies description;
Jesus declared himself to be God and proved it by rising from the dead, changing world history as we know it BC does not stand for Blind Chance, it's before CHRIST because of what he did the evidence insurmountable, tramples those who hate him.
Matt.21
[44] And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
