1. Spycraft: The Secret History of the CIA's Spytechs, from Communism

to al-Qaeda By Robert Wallace, H. Keith Melton, Henry R. Schlesinger

2008

From two men who know better than anyone how espionage really works, an

unprecedented history—heavily illustrated with neverbefore- seen

images—of the CIA’s most secretive operations and the gadgets that made

them possible.

It is a world where the intrigue of reality exceeds that of fiction.

What is an invisible photo used for? What does it take to build a quiet

helicopter? How does one embed a listening device in a cat? If these

sound like challenges for Q, James Bond’s fictional gadget-master,

think again. They’re all real-life devices created by the CIA’s Office

of Technical Service—an ultrasecretive department that combines the

marvels of state-of-the-art technology with the time-proven traditions

of classic espionage. And now, in the first book ever written about

this office, the former director of OTS teams up with an

internationally renowned intelligence historian to take readers into

the laboratory of espionage.

Spycraft tells amazing life and death stories about this littleknown

group, much of it never before revealed. Against the backdrop of some

of America’s most critical periods in recent history—including the Cold

War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the war on terror—the authors show

the real technical and human story of how the CIA carries out its

missions.

2. Hawaiian Apartheid - Racial Separatism and Ethnic Nationalism in the

Aloha State - Kenneth, R. Conklin 2007

This book seeks to awaken the public to the dangers of the Hawaiian

sovereignty movement. A gathering storm of racial separatism and ethnic

nationalism threatens not only the people of Hawaii but the entire

United States. The Hawaiian Government Reorganization bill, also known

as the "Akaka bill" (currently S.310 and H.R.505), threatens to set a

precedent for ethnic balkanization throughout America. It seeks to

create a racially exclusionary government using federal and state land

and money. Hawaii's independence activists want to rip the 50th star

off the flag, either by international efforts or through the economic

and political power the Akaka bill would give ethnic Hawaiians as a

group. This book begins with an in-depth description and analysis of

racial separatism and ethnic nationalism in today's Hawaiian

sovereignty movement. Then it analyzes historical grievances, and the

junk science of current victimhood claims, fueling the Hawaiian

grievance industry. The book analyzes anti-military and anti-American

activity. It describes the dangers of claims to indigenous rights, and

why those claims are bogus in Hawaii. The book analyzes some Hawaiian

sovereignty frauds including a billion dollars in Hawaiian Kingdom

government bonds, the "Perfect Title" land title scam, and the "World

Court" scam. The closing chapter offers hope for the future, describing

an action agenda. Ken Conklin, author, has a Ph.D. in Philosophy. He

has lived in Hawaii since 1992. He has devoted full time for 15 years

to studying Hawaiian history, culture, and language, and the Hawaiian

sovereignty movement; and speaks Hawaiian with moderate fluency. He is

a scholar and civil rights activist working to protect unity, equality,

and aloha for all. He has published numerous essays in newspapers,

appeared on television and radio, taught a course on Hawaiian

sovereignty at the University of Hawaii, and maintains a large website.

3. Rockefeller, "internationalist,": The man who misrules the world -

Emanuel Mann Josephson 1952

Josephson was one of the great all-time Rockefeller haters and an early

exposer of their nefarious schemes in finance, education, medicine,

social work and philanthropy, foreign and domestic policy.

This is a pioneering study (which is not always accurately documented

by the rigors of today's scholarship and analysis) but never-the-less

is recommended.

4. Encyclopedia of Giftedness, Creativity, and Talent, 2 Volume Set -

Barbara A. (Alane) Kerr 2009

For many years, study of giftedness, creativity and talent was of

concern to a small community of scholars. With publication of A Nation

Deceived: How America Holds Back its Brightest Students (Templeton

Foundation), these topics became a national concern. Time magazine

devoted attention to the issue of gifted education, and a million

people visited the report's web site to read and download information

about gifted education. In addition, the field itself has erupted into

controversy over the last decade as the most basic concepts of

intelligence, creativity and talent have been questioned. Is there just

one intelligence, or many? Is creativity a personality trait, an aspect

of consciousness, or an interaction of culture and the individual?

Should talent be considered latent potential or proven performance?

Complexities of the controversies are as puzzling to experts within the

field as they are to newcomers.

The 2-volume Encyclopedia of Giftedness, Creativity, and Talent

presents state-of-the-art research and ready-to-use facts from the

fields of education, psychology, sociology, and the arts. More than 400

entries sort out research findings on giftedness and creativity and

their applications in education, training, science and the arts,

athletics, and everyday life. From A-to-Z, entries cover the major

facets of this field, from ability grouping, to achievement and

aptitude testing, emotional intelligence, gender differences, genius,

intelligence testing, learning styles, minority gifted education,

multiple intelligences, musical ability, Olympic athletes, prodigies,

Science Olympics, self actualization, thinking skills, and more.

5. The Hunt for Zero Point : Inside the Classified World of Antigravity

Technology - nick cook 2002

Imagine the power, economic and military, that would fall into the

hands of the person who figured out how to bypass the ordinary laws of

physics, defy gravity, and travel near the speed of light.

6. Psychic Sexuality: The Bio-Psychic Anatomy of Sexual Energies by

INGO SWANN 1999 ($350.00)

An intelligent and intellectual work on the subject of sex in all it's

aspects.

7. THE EQUINOX THE OFFICIAL ORGAN OF THE AA THE REVIEW OF SCIENTIFIC

ILLUMINISM VOL I No I

WITH the publication of this REVIEW begins a completely
new adventure in the history of mankind. Whatever
knowledge may previously have been imputed to men, it has
always been fenced in with conditions and restrictions. The
time has come to speak plainly, and so far as may be in the
language of the multitude.
Thus, the Brothers of the A A announce themselves
without miracle or mystery. It is easy for every charlatan to
perform wonders, to bewilder and even to deceive not only
fools but all persons, however shrewd, untrained in
observation; nor does the trained observed always succeed
instantly in detecting the fraud. Again, what the A A
propose to do is to enable such men as are capable of
advancement to a higher interpretation of manhood to do so;
and the proof of their ability lies in their success, and not in
any other irrelevant phenomenon. The argument from miracles is
a non sequitur.
Nor is there anything mysterious in the A A; one must
not confuse the mysterious with the unknown. Some of the
contents of this REVIEW may be difficult or impossible to
understand at first, but only in the sense that Homer is
unintelligible to a person ignorant of Greek.

12. Imminent Dangers - Samuel Morse

The history we know today is a lie. We have all been lied to through

our educational system and our religious institutions.

12. Knights of Malta, Pilgrim Society, etc

List of names and affiliations

14. GMO Food Guide

This is the perfect guide for people who chose to not consume

genetically modified organisms. Many name brands are listed, did you

know that over 75% of the food sold in stores contains at least one GMO

ingredient, the most common culprit is soy, it is in nearly every food

product. What are you eating?

15. The Holographic Universe - michael talbot 1992

Author Talbot writes that ". . . there is evidence to suggest that our

world and everything in it. . . are also only ghostly images,

projections from a level of reality so beyond our own it is literally

beyond both space and time." Hence, the title of his book. Beginning

with the work of physicist David Bohm and neurophysiologist Karl

Pribram, both of whom independently arrived at holographic theories or

models of the universe, Talbot explains in clear terms the theory and

physics of holography and its application, both in science and in

explanation of the paranormal and psychic. His theory of reality

accommodates this latest thinking in physics as well as many unresolved

mind-body questions. This well-written and fascinating study is

recommended for science collections.

16. Summer for the Gods: The Scopes Trial and America's Continuing

Debate over Science and Religion - edward j. larson

If you haven't seen the film version of Inherit the Wind, you might

have read it in high school. And even people who have never heard of

either the movie or the play probably know something about the events

that inspired them: The 1925 Scopes "monkey trial," during which

Darwin's theory of evolution was essentially put on trial before the

nation. Inherit the Wind paints a romantic picture of John Scopes as a

principled biology teacher driven to present scientific theory to his

students, even in the teeth of a Tennessee state law prohibiting the

teaching of anything other than creationism. The truth, it turns out,

was something quite different. In his fascinating history of the Scopes

trial, Summer for the Gods, Edward J. Larson makes it abundantly clear

that Truth and the Purity of Science had very little to do with the

Scopes case. Tennessee had passed a law prohibiting the teaching of

evolution, and the American Civil Liberties Union responded by

advertising statewide for a high-school teacher willing to defy the

law. Communities all across Tennessee saw an opportunity to put

themselves on the map by hosting such a controversial trial, but it was

the town of Dayton that came up with a sacrificial victim: John Scopes,

a man who knew little about evolution and wasn't even the class's

regular teacher. Chosen by the city fathers, Scopes obligingly broke

the law and was carted off to jail to await trial.

What happened next was a bizarre mix of theatrics and law, enacted by

William Jennings Bryan for the prosecution and Clarence Darrow for the

defense. Though Darrow lost the trial, he made his point--and his

career--by calling Bryan, a noted Bible expert, as a witness for the

defense. Summer for the Gods is a remarkable retelling of the trial and

the events leading up to it, proof positive that truth is stranger than

science.

17. Blessed Days of Anaesthesia: How Anaesthetics Changed the World -

stephanie j. snow 2008

Among all the great discoveries and inventions of the nineteenth

century, few offer us a more fascinating insight into Victorian society

than the discovery of anesthesia. Now considered to be one of the

greatest inventions for humanity since the printing press, anesthesia

offered pain-free operations, childbirth with reduced suffering, and

instant access to the world beyond consciousness. And yet, upon its

introduction, Victorian medics, moralists, clergymen, and scientists,

were plunged into turmoil.
In Blessed Days of Anesthesia, Stephanie Snow offers a vivid and

engaging account of the early days of anesthesia. She unravels some key

moments in medical history: from Humphry Davy's early experiments with

nitrous oxide and the dramas that drove the discovery of ether

anesthesia in America, to the outrage provoked by Queen Victoria's use

of chloroform during the birth of Prince Leopold. And there are grisly

stories too: frequent deaths, and even notorious murders. Interweaved

throughout the story, a fascinating social change is revealed. For

anesthesia caused the Victorians to rethink concepts of pain,

sexuality, and the links between mind and body. From this turmoil, a

profound change in attitudes began to be realized, as the view that

physical suffering could, and should, be prevented permeated society,

most tellingly at first in prisons and schools where pain was used as a

method of social control. In this way, the discovery of anesthesia left

not only a medical and scientific legacy that changed the world, but a

compassionate one too.
Bringing together the history of science and an account of profound

social change, Blessed Days of Anesthesia is a compelling, and broadly

illuminating, account of a fascinating period in medical history.

19. The Bohemian Grove and Other Retreats: A Study in Ruling-Class

Cohesiveness - by G. William Domhoff 1974

In America, retreats are held by just about every group you
can think of—scouts, ministers, students, athletes, musicians,
and even cheerleaders. So it is not surprising that members of
the social upper class would also have clubs that sponsor such
occasions. Three of these retreats for the wealthy few are the
subject of this book.
Retreats are interesting in and of themselves. They are es-
pecially interesting when—like the bacchanalian rites discussed
in this book—they involve elaborate rituals, first-class entertain-
ment, a little illicit sex, and some of the richest and most power-
ful men in the country.
However, this book has a purpose beyond presenting a
relatively detailed description of three upper-class watering
holes that are of intrinsic interest. Upper-class retreats are also
of sociological relevance, for they increase the social cohesive-
ness of America's rulers and provide private settings in which
business and political problems can be discussed informally
and off the record. Moreover, their existence is evidence for a
theory heatedly disputed by most social scientists and political
commentators: that a cohesive ruling group persists in the

United States despite the country's size and the diversity of
interests within it.
The material for this book was gathered from club members,
present and former employees of the clubs, historical archives,
and newspapers. Almost all the information presented can be
found in scattered public sources, but interviews were essential
in making sense out of it. Repeated discussions with two inter-
viewees also enriched the account with colorful details and
with a feel for the ethos of the encampments and rides. I am
deeply indebted to these people for their help.
The biographical information, which is the systematic core
of the book, comes primarily from the years 1965 to 1970.
Although post-1970 occupations and appointments are noted
for some of the people discussed, I have not tried to take ac-
count of deaths, retirements, and changes in occupational status
after 1970. For this reason, the account is already history in
some sense of the word. However, this presents no problem
from my perspective, for the people mentioned are merely
exemplars of an ongoing social process. I hope readers will
keep this caution in mind when they come across the name of
a deceased or retired person who is spoken of as if he were still
alive or active in his business or profession.
My primary research assistants for this project were Joel
Schaffer, Michael Spiro, and Lisa Young, who carried out the
studies of the social, economic, and political connections of
members and guests. They also combed newspaper and maga-
zine sources for relevant information. Their detailed labors are
gratefully acknowledged, and a special thanks is added to Lisa
Young for her fine drawings, which enhance this book.
I also want to express my thanks for the helpful hints of writer John

Van der Zee, whose research efforts on the first
retreat I discuss—the Bohemian Grove—came to my attention
as I was finishing my research and beginning to write. Although
we have not compared notes, he was helpful to me in several
ways, as I hope I was to him in certain small details. His book
on the Bohemian Grove is entitled Power at Ease: Inside the
Greatest Men's Party on Earth (Harcourt Brace Jovanovich,
1974).
My research on the second retreat discussed, the Rancheros
Visitadores, was aided in its initial stages by the work of
Michael Williams, "Los Rancheros Visitadores," a paper for
my graduate sociology seminar on the American upper class
at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the fall of
1970. After the chapter was written, I learned further useful
details from the undergraduate research work conducted by
Peggy Rodgers and Donna Beck of the University of California,
Santa Barbara, and I am grateful to them for sharing their
findings with me.
As in the past, friends and colleagues have saved me from
a multitude of sins, both substantive and stylistic. In this in-
stance, my most helpful reader was my major informant, who
unfortunately must remain nameless. Other readers with help-
ful suggestions were Richie Zweigenhaft, a social psychologist
at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Cynthia Mer-
man, my editor at Harper & Row.

20. The CIA Covenant: Nazis in Washington - Gregory Douglas 1999

After the German surrender on May 9, 1945, there was a wild witch-hunt

in that conquered
country to discover and prosecute as many of Hitler’s leading followers

who had survived the finial days of
the war.
Allied propaganda had portrayed the German SS and, most especially, the

dread Gestapo or Secret
State Police, as engines of evil and their members were to be

rigorously sought out, tried by military courts
and imprisoned or executed.
Times change, they say, and we must change with them, so very soon, the

United States began to
find useful employment for many of their former enemies.
This led to the employment of many German SS, Gestapo and

Sicherheitsdienst personnel by both
the United States Army intelligence organs and, after its founding in

1948, the new Central Intelligence
Agency.
The employment of these once-detested and persecuted Nazis was a matter

of great and ongoing
secrecy. Official files were searched for incriminating postwar

documents and these papers were either
removed and destroyed or redacted with strong prohibitions against

their ever seeing the light of day.
In the early 1980s, a file on former SS General and concentration camp

head, Odlio Globocnik
surfaced in the hands of John Costello, an English researcher and

historical writer. Costello had obtained
this file, and other explosive papers, from Robert T. Crowley, once

Deputy Director of the CIA’s
Clandestine Operations Division.
Because the contents were considered by the finder as too

controversial for him to deal with in
print, it was passed on to one Gregory Douglas, another researcher who

was digging into the post-war
history of Heinrich Müller. In 1988, a copy of this file was sent to

Gitta Sereny, an American of Hungarian
origin who had written a book on Stangl, one of Globocnik’s camp

commanders. It first appeared in 1974
and was entitled Into That Darkness. This work purports to be based on

an interview with Franz Stangl, an
SS officer who ran a camp in occupied Poland during the war where many

prisoners were later stated to
have been gassed. The book contains a lengthy section quoting Stangl,

who according to Sereny’s version,
fully admits his part in the purported killings and asks for

forgiveness from God and his victims. The
balance of the work consists of various supplementary testimonies from

former associates and family
members, all attesting to the evil nature of Stangl’s activities and

all clearly acknowledging his willing
cooperation in a state-sponsored program of genocide.

22. Inside Look at the Knights of Columbus plus Billy Graham segment -

Life (May 1957)

23. Symbol and the Symbolic: Ancient Egypt, Science, and the Evolution

of Consciousness - R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz

THERE IS ONE precaution that can be given here to the
reader drawn to the work of R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz for the
first time. Schwaller de Lubicz is using words and thought
forms that are peculiar to our present rationalized mentality
but with the intention of describing or, rather, evoking in us a
mentality completely different from our own, one that
belonged to the sages of ancient Egypt. And it is for this
reason, more than any other, that difficulties can arise for us
in the reading. Generally, these two complementary mental
operations can be designated as analytical (our present habitual
mode) and the more ancient analogical mode, but these words
must be taken in a deeper sense than that generally ascribed
to them at present. Schwaller de Lubicz's writings, then, act
as a "synapse" between these two polarities of intelligence,
and one finds that a clear, logical exposition—be it architec-
tural, scientific or mythological—will suddenly lift and expand
into an immense interconnected thought-field of an extra-
rational quality, in which the multiple simultaneous meanings,
while inwardly felt, may no longer be available to our rational
mind. These unannounced fluctuations between our two
primary modes of knowing is at first disconcerting, but, if one
persists (sometimes without really grasping the idea), one can
obtain glimpses of a new relationship between inner knowing and

sensory-based external analysis.
Derived from his extensive study of Egyptian monuments
and hieroglyphic writing, Schwaller de Lubicz's theme of two
qualitatively different minds inhabiting the human psyche has
found very convincing support in recent brain research.
Experiments with brain-damaged individuals has revealed a
distinct separation or lateralization of cortical functions giving
rise to an area of scientific investigation popularly known as
"right and left mindedness."

26. Groom Lake/Area 51 Security Manual

The following may be the Air Force manual mentioned in recent news

articles about the
ongoing Groom Lake hazardous waste lawsuit. The plaintiff's lawyer,

Jonathan Turley,
says the Air Force is seeking to classify this previously unclassified

document, and he
fears that government officials may soon seize his files relating to

the case as a result.
This appears to be the first time that the government has sought to

increase the security
classification of an already-public document to prevent its

introduction in a lawsuit
against the government.
This document has been floating around for a while (over a year), and

there appear to be
a number of copies in private hands. The document came to me

anonymously and
unsolicited some time ago. Since I do not know where it came from, I

cannot vouch for its
authenticity, but a map of fire department response positions (page 10)

does appear to
show the Groom Lake base. I have never been in contact with Mr. Turley

regarding this
document, so I cannot be sure it is the same one that is now a focus of

contention in his
case.
The owner of the document is not specified on or within it. The words

"Secret" or
"Classified" do not appear anywhere on the document, although "DO NOT

REMOVE
FROM SITE - OFFICIAL USE ONLY" appears on the top and bottom of every

page.

27. The Unseen Hand - Ralph Epperson 1985

It is the contention of the author that the major events of the past,

the wars, the depressions and the revolutions, have been planned years

in advance by an international conspiracy. This view is called the

Conspiratorial View of History, and is definitely not the view held by

the majority of historians today. The more traditonal view is called

The Accidental View of History, and it holds that no one really knows

why events happen--they just do.

28. Ghettostadt: Lodz and the Making of a Nazi City - Gordon J. Horwitz

2008

Under the Third Reich, Nazi Germany undertook an unprecedented effort

to refashion the city of Lódz. Home to prewar Poland’s second most

populous Jewish community, this was to become a German city of

enchantment—a modern, clean, and orderly showcase of urban planning and

the arts. Central to the undertaking, however, was a crime of

unparalleled dimension: the ghettoization, exploitation, and ultimate

annihilation of the city’s entire Jewish population.

Ghettostadt is the terrifying examination of the Jewish ghetto’s place

in the Nazi worldview. Exploring ghetto life in its broadest context,

it deftly maneuvers between the perspectives and actions of Lódz’s

beleaguered Jewish community, the Germans who oversaw and administered

the ghetto’s affairs, and the “ordinary” inhabitants of the once Polish

city. Gordon Horwitz reveals patterns of exchange, interactions, and

interdependence within the city that are stunning in their extent and

intimacy. He shows how the Nazis, exercising unbounded force and

deception, exploited Jewish institutional traditions, social divisions,

faith in rationality, and hope for survival to achieve their wider goal

of Jewish elimination from the city and the world. With unusual

narrative force, the work brings to light the crushing moral dilemmas

facing one of the most significant Jewish communities of Nazi-occupied

Eastern Europe, while simultaneously exploring the ideological

underpinnings and cultural, economic, and social realities within which

the Holocaust took shape and flourished.

32. Food Inc.: A Participant Guide: How Industrial Food is Making Us

Sicker, Fatter, and Poorer-And What You Can Do About It - Karl Weber

2009

Food, Inc. is guaranteed to shake up our perceptions of what we eat.

This powerful documentary deconstructing the corporate food industry in

America was hailed by Entertainment Weekly as “more than a terrific

movie—it’s an important movie.” Aided by expert commentators such as

Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser, the film poses questions such as:

Where has my food come from, and who has processed it? What are the

giant agribusinesses and what stake do they have in maintaining the

status quo of food production and consumption? How can I feed my family

healthy foods affordably?

Expanding on the film’s themes, the book Food, Inc. will answer those

questions through a series of challenging essays by leading experts and

thinkers. This book will encourage those inspired by the film to learn

more about the issues, and act to change the world.

33. Krav Maga: Hand to Hand combat

Krav Maga (contact combat) is a military hand-to-hand combat system

developed in Israel which emphasizes threat neutralization, often in a

'him-or-me' context. Krav Maga originated in the 1930s. Imi

Lichtenfeld, its primary founder, fled Czechoslovakia to the British

Palestine Mandate, now Israel, where it was further developed by the

defence forces. There are several organisations teaching variations of

Krav Maga internationally.

34. Secret Guide To Making Ninja Weapons 1986

The tidbits of history that accompany most of the weapon instructions

and in the Forward are educational and interesting.

The Samurai were the wealthy warriors of feudal Japan. Throughout the

history of the world, we see the powerful subjugating the weak. To

combat this, the Koga Ninja, who were the poor farmers and could be put

to death for owning any kind of weaponry, became the black clad

secretive, silent Ninja. These warriors learned to create weapons from

whatever material was available -- wherever they were; often hiding

them in many different stashes around the farms.

Their weapons had to be inexpensive, easy to make, and disposable if

the need arose. This is one of the most important factors in the weapon

designs from the Koga Ninja. Why? "Concern for losing a weapon might

cause one to hesitate, and at that moment of hesitation might cost the

Ninja his or her life." (Toshitora Yamashiro, Forward to "Secret Guide

to Making Ninja Weapons.")

All weapons are extremely dangerous. The black and white photographs of

Ninjas holding the weapons, and of these lethal tools, show how to

carry, defend, or attack with them. These weapons have the ability to

maim or kill the Ninja warrior who is practicing if they are used

incorrectly.

It is imperative for a Ninjutsu to study under a master. Do not take

the patterns and create weapons that you do not have the skills or

knowledge to use. The Master teaches how to use each weapon, and the

concentration, dedication, and spiritual growth required for a true

Ninja.

I cannot stress the need for training enough.

.... The photographs of Ninja, information about the various weapons,

the metallurgy, searching junkyards for components, and the patterns

and directions to make them are the details that add veracity to

fiction, fantasy, and history books; they allow the reader to suspend

disbelief and trust the writer.

Why would a warrior choose a To or Tanto instead of a Yari?

The To, approximately thirty-six inches long, is a sword. It is the

weapon that no Koga Ninja would be without; this means if a Ninja had

to abandon the To in the process of completing a mission and escape, it

would be the first weapon that was created when he or she had found

safety.

The Tanto is the assassin's dagger. This sharp blade was designed to

penetrate armor and is often painted for camouflage, as are many of the

other weapons. Directions include how to make a scabbard for the To and

Tanto. The Yari is a spear that is used as a thrusting weapon. The

spearhaft is generally five feet long, but can be as long as twenty

feet, which would require both strength and skill to manipulate. In

movies we see martial arts experts grabbing poles for

defensive/aggressive maneuvers -- this is a lot more deadly.

The next weapons are of the Kusari class. Though they all begin with a

length of chain, the Kusari Fundo (Manrikgusari) is the simplest weapon

to make. The Kusari Gama requires a sickle while the Shoge adds a

spiked blade. The Nunchaku adds two metal rods and uses a shorter

chain.

Blow guns, Tetsu-Bishi (flat four pointed star) and Shuriken (several

star weapons the fit together like a puzzle to form a deadly ball) are

described in detail. These are often shown in movies. The perfect Ninja

throws the Tetsu-Bishi with the ease that most of us think about when

skipping stones across a lake -- though I've only achieved that feat a

few times.

I will never make a weapon. I do not practice Ninjutsu, but the heroes

and heroines in my stories, particularly the S/F trilogy I am writing,

do. Writing with detailed information is imperative. Research is what

turns good writing into great stories.

37. Big Pharma: Exposing the Global Healthcare Agenda - jacky law 2006

In one of the first independent investigations of the modern healthcare

system, Jacky Law shows how a small number of corporations have come to

dominate the healthcare agenda in Britain and America. She reveals a

system in which the relentless pursuit of profit is crowding out the

public good. Effective regulators are under intense pressure from

corporate lobbies, and companies spend more money on marketing than

they spend on research and development. Meanwhile the cost of new drugs

rises relentlessly while the number of original new products declines.
