A great mainstream documentary with a ton of between the lines commentary about how the US, UK, Isreal, their intelligence agencies (esp. CIA)and the Oil Industry have had their way with Libya (and visa versa) over the last 60 years.

While chronicling Gaddafi's rise to power and fall from grace this documentary intelligently highlights how major foreign policy decisions are influenced directly by the Petroleum and Arms industries.

Official Description
While today his long reign is tottering, this program examines how the West has been dealing with Muammar Gaddafi in a world of realpolitik, petrol and terrorism.

It asks, how did the man who was one of the main promoters of international terrorism during the 80’s become 'respectable', if only for a while With testimony from Tony Blair and Condoleezza Rice among others, the film reviews forty years of relations between Gaddafi and the West.

It shows how Gaddafi used the major powers, and how the latter used their 'best enemy'.
