Dopecast #305 27 February 2012
:cigar:
On this week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast, the Dopefiend talks about how the coffeeshop owners of Haarlem are refusing to accept the Dutch government's plans to ban tourists from coffeeshops, and how this could be the turning point that leads to the ultimate burial of the proposed Wietpas system, with municipalities at odds with the government and speculation that the law, if passed, may not be enforced at all. Next, the Dopefiend returns to the ongoing saga of Peter Reynolds, the disgraced leader of CLEAR, the Cannabis Law Reform party, who is still refusing to resign his position and allow the cannabis community to salbage a now drastically damaged organization. The Dopefiend speaks with former CLEAR executive committee member Sanj Chowdhary, who was suspended from CLEAR for canvassing the members to ask their feelings about the leadership, and discusses his involvement in the Peter Reynolds saga and how the legalisation movement has been affected by the events of the last few months. Heading into the VaporLounge, the Dopefiend fires up the PLENTY vaporizer with some fresh Headband, and talks about the impending 2-week Dopefast which starts on March 4th, his way of reducing his powerful cannabis tolerance in preparation for this year's epic DopeStock celebrations in Amsterdam. The Dopefiend mentions how those hoping to join the fun on the Cannabis Canal Cruise will have to pay electronically, how we're in dire need of donations to help IoliteKnight make it out to DopeStock, and how you can show your proud membership of the DopeTribe by buying a brand new, limited edition DopeTribe Hoodie! Before a musical interlude from Rosengren & Chelly, the Dopefiend talks about how happy he is with the PLENTY vaporizer, and how sad he is that his Cloud vaporizer has stopped working, leading him to somewhat rethink his conviction that the Cloud is the future of vaporization technology. Next, Cannaya asks a question about whether a hotknife hit actually counts as vaporization rather than combustion, then Homer the Stoner returns with this week's cannabis News, including the cannabis factories and DIY grow rooms spreading across the UK, a new study into the dangers of driving while high, the toddler killed by drinking cannabis plant food, and the story of a schoolboy ensnared by an undercover police officer. Finally, the Dopefiend talks about how Paul McCartney has given up cannabis and whether that's a good or bad thing for the cannabis community and/or music lovers!
