In March of 2008, in response to hateful comments made by the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, United State Senator and Presidential candidate Barack Obama was forced to give a speech in Philadelphia, PA in which he distanced himself from the Reverend.
After claiming that "... Race is an issue we can't afford to ignore..." many media pundits have labeled this speech as Obama's call for.... a conversation about race....
Today, President Obama is credited for initializing a dialogue, but did we ever really have an honest discussion about race in America...?
By conducting interviews with a diverse group of individuals in Denver, Colorado, this film makes it its mission
to find out what the "conventional wisdom" really is on the subject of RACE and RACISM.
Troughout its exploration of this sensitive subject, it discovers multiple disconnects, inconsistencies and double-standards... many of which beg to the deeper question most of us choose to ignore...
... is racism even real?
