Daniel Sekulich is a reporter and documentary filmmaker whose last documentary film, Aftermath: The Remnants of War, has garnered nine awards at festivals worldwide. He has written about piracy for The Toronto Globe & Mail and is one of the leading authorities writing on this growing scourge. His new book, Terror on the Seas: True Tales of Modern Day Pirates, shows how violent these new pirates are and how their activities on one side of the globe can have far-reaching effects everywhere, whether it deals with the global economy or the global War on Terror.

'Corpse Flower' Set for Stinky Bloom
The University of Missouri has opened its greenhouse to the public for the soon-expected bloom of a "corpse flower." The rare plant is named for the pungent dead animal odor it uses to attract pollinators. The UM plant hasn't bloomed in eight years, and when it does will only be open for a day.
