Pripyat is a completely modern abandoned city about 2km from Chernobyl, inside of the Chernobyl exclusion zone, in Ukraine. Over 20 years ago (26 April, 1986), there was an accident in one of the nuclear reactors there that became one of the worst technological disasters in history.
