For two bold entrepreneurs, creating a pleasure-enhancing, effective, affordable female condom has become an obsession. For millions around the world, it could mean life or death, with the potential to eliminate unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.

American Frank Sadlo began his quest for the ultimate female condom when The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation offered grants to drive the development of a “next generation” condom. Based in Las Vegas, Sadlo was one of the few inventors who developed a condom for women, which he calls “Luvli”, in response to the challenge. He enthusiastically promotes his condom and collaborates with others in the industry as he tries to perfect his product.

Dr John Tang, an obstetrician and gynaecologist from Malaysia has developed “Wondaleaf.” Tang wants to save lives, but without real marketing or business experience, he’s not sure how to get this product to market. And, he faces criticism over the user-friendliness of his condom. Both are scrambling to get their inventions into production, and hoping for the approval of international health organizations.
