Episode 9
1) US : GOATMAN (DUR: 7'36)

For more than four decades a creature with the human body and legs like a goat has reportedly haunted the American state of Maryland. Reports began to emerge in 1957. A large hairy manlike creature was seen by a couple in their driveway as they arrived home late one night. A posse was formed to hunt for the animal, but nothing was ever found. The creature, which allegedly has a passion for killing dogs, became known as the Goatman, taking a prominent place in the area's folklore. Reports of the Goatman are still being made and Animal X went to uncover the mystery of the half-man, half-goat beast.

2) Australia : PHAR LAP (DUR: 9'11)

For Australians in the 1930s, Phar Lap was a national hero. Born in New Zealand in 1926, Phar Lap won 37 of the 51 races in which he started earning him the title of 'The Greatest Racehorse ever'. In 1930, just two days before the Melbourne Cup, an attempt was made on Phar Lap's life but Tommy Woodcock shielded Phar Lap who went on to win the race. Phar Lap died in California in 1932. Autopsy reports stated that Phar Lap died of a 'colicky condition' due to eating wet grass. However, allegations of foul play were made against owner Tommy Woodcock and incompetence against vet Tony Nielson. Animal X explores the mystery and controversy which surrounds the death of 'The Greatest Racehorse ever'.

3) UK/USA : PSYCHIC ANIMALS I (DUR: 9'36)

Throughout history they've become renowned for their uncanny ability to sense certain things, most notably impending disaster. Countless animals have been attributed with helping to save lives, often in incredible feats of endurance. But is it possible for them to read our minds, know our intentions? New research from London suggests they can, and over great distances and periods of time. Animal X met up with the man at the centre of this research, Dr Rupert Sheldrake who, as well as looking into pets anticipating their owners return is also investigating pets that can predict earthquakes. His studies show that approximately one dog in two appears to know when their owner's coming home, even from as far away as New York to England. And he says it's possible for mice to predict earthquakes, as all animals in some way can sense an oncoming quake.

1) UK : ALIEN BIG CATS (DUR: 8'54)
Thousands of sightings of the famous Beast of Bodmin Moor have been recorded and vicious attacks on stock reported - but no cat has ever been caught. Officially, the government says it can't be sure if these Alien Big Cats even exist....Animal X went in search of the truth travelling to the barren wildlands of Southwest England where the Big Cats are said to roam the desolate moors.

2) Australia : GIANT SQUID (DUR: 6'43)
Never seen alive by the human eye in its natural environs, the giant squid is a scientific phenomenon of monstrous proportions. Giant squids are carnivorous and can grow to a massive 20 metres in length. With eyes the size of hubcaps, beak-like mouths which can cut through steel and ten arms teeming with tentacles they were the terror of seafarers. Eye witness accounts dating back to the 1600s tell of giant squids battle with adult sperm whales and even a Norwegian Navy tanker. Tango with the tales of titanic tentacles on Animal X....

Episode 11
1) Russia : YETI (DUR: 7'37)
The Russian Yeti or wild-man as he is locally known stands a towering seven feet tall, it's man-like body is covered in fur and its eyes are said to have an eerie glow. It is believed to have telepathic powers and encounters have led to sickness or death. Usually seen in remote areas, eyewitnesses report having seen it as close as 70km from St. Petersburg. Cryptozoologist, Professor Valentin Sapunov embarked on an expedition to track down the wild-man. Animal X went with him to investigate...

2) UK : HYPNOTISING DOG (DUR: 7'26)
Oscar is a ten year old Labrador-Retriever, but he's no ordinary family pet. He has hypnotised thousands of people across Britain. Hugh Lennon and his dog have toured venues around the country confounding the sceptics and sending volunteers into a deep sleep. Just one look into the deep brown pool's of Oscar's eyes and participants go under. Hugh Lennon puts Oscar's talent down to his special stare. Even when he was a puppy Lennon noticed Oscar sitting and staring at him while the other dogs in the litter ran around. Dogs are well known for their special ability to sense things about people and put them at ease. They are often used in hospitals to lift the spirits of the sick and calm the nervous. Oscar uses his huge eyes to relax people as they are hypnotised. But this sort of behaviour isn't restricted to the stage. Animals in the wild are known to hypnotise other creatures with a threatening stare. Lions make their prey feel vulnerable with a hypnotic stare. The mongoose is known to be able to hypnotise snakes.

3) Australia : THYLACINE (DUR: 9'47)
Supposedly extinct for years, Animal X has possession of new rare footage of the exclusive Thylacine aka Tasmanian Tiger. Thylacines have been sighted all over Australia - from Queensland to Western Australia to Victoria, although the most credible and unusual sightings have come from Australia's only Christian monastery Perth. A Christian father, the Abbott's secretary and the gardener have been in the presence of this ethereal creature.

Episode 12
1) South Africa : MAD ELEPHANTS (DUR: 7'05)
They're mad, they're bad ... and they're killers. It's said that elephants never forget. Tourists are not likely to forget these elephants. At several game parks in Africa,
authorities are reporting a spate of attacks by delinquent juveniles. At least one has proved fatal, when a mad group of juveniles attacked a car and ripped apart a German
tourist. Experts believe the youngsters have turned bad because they've been moved from other game reserves, and away from the guidance of older adult elephants.

2) Israel : BIBLICAL LIONS (DUR: 6'44)
Biblical stories and legends tell of one animal who instilled fear and terror in people throughout the Holy Land, the King of Beasts - the Biblical Lion. Believed to connect
both the spiritual and physical worlds the lion was given special importance as the symbol for the tribe of Judah, the holiest city - Jerusalem and even the word of God.

Few men like Samson and Daniel managed to defeat it and avoid death from it's powerful jaws. Today the Lion has totally disappeared from Israel's zoological map, apparently hunted to extinction by the end of the 12th century. But did Lions really roam the plains of the Holy Land? Jerusalem's Biblical Zoo claims to have the direct descendants of these legendary creatures. Animal X went to investigate...

3) Australia : YOWIE (DUR: 10'05)
The Yowie is said to be a towering two metre ape-like creature. More powerfully built than a human, the Yowie has a dark mane, glowing yellow eyes and an overpowering stench. Whilst mainstream science spurns the Yowie's existence, high profile politicians such as Senator Bill O'Chee speaks candidly about his Yowie encounter. A Blue Mountain' community claims to have been plagued by a resident Yowie for several years. Animal X goes Infra-red to investigate.

Episode 13 Final.
1) CANADA : CADDY (DUR: 7'37)
The waters around Vancouver Island, on Canada's west coast are home to a type of giant marine reptile which is believed to grow to forty feet in length has been given the
name Cadborosaurus, after its favourite haunt, Cadboro Bay. The first recorded sighting of Caddy, as it is popularly known, was in 1897. Since then there have been 200 sightings of the creature, which reportedly has a horse-like head, needle thin teeth, a long scaly body and muscles that ripple when it swims. Dr Edward Bousfield, a former biologist has studied the mountain of reported sightings and speculates that the creature is a type of reptile left over from pre-historic times, feeding on fish, squid and sea birds, but without hard evidence the creature remains a mysterious unexplained monster.

2) Israel : RED HEIFER (DUR: 6'30)
The legend of the Red Heifer is as old as the bible itself. The story of a young cow, which according to Jewish people, is capable of changing the world. Animal X
travelled to Israel and the holy city of Jerusalem to investigate what many believe is a modern day miracle -- the discovery of a perfect Red Heifer, that meets all the Biblical requirements of a sacred animal. We also go trekking with an American archaeologist who claims to have found the ashes of the original Red Heifer, lost for
over two thousand years. As we approach a new millennium, Animal X asks "could this Red Heifer be a sign that the world is waiting for?".

3) Australia : BIG CATS (DUR: 9'35)
There have been numerous sightings of Giant Cats in both outback and urban Australia. So far these fearless felines have killed sheep, cows and a baby camel fresh from its mothers womb ... will humans be next? Animal X gets the low down on the big cats. Experts reveal their theories on how big cats arrived in Australia, eye witnesses tell of their hair-raising encounters and conspiracy theorist explain why its in the governments best interests to keep the big cats in the closet.
