As well as an homage to the great independent American journalist, I.F. Stone, this film presents a brilliant analysis and expose of the truth of current American and world politics and who's really running things - the same as it was in the 60s, 70s, and 80s (then known as the Military-Industrial Complex), only now the rules have changed. Multinational corporations and the globalized economy have no checks and balances on them. Their CEOs pay next to no taxes, and nothing much trickles down anymore. The divide between the wealthy few and the masses of poor is not only frighteningly real, but seems to be expanding, and will surely to lead to big trouble, if we don't start monitoring and regulating these corporate bodies, many of whom are also contributing massively to the use of fossil fuels, scary climate change and global warming in the process. The politicians are in their pockets. Something must be done, but what?
Interviews with great minds like Noam Chomsky, Michael Moore, Carl Bernstein and Ralph Nader make this a fascinating and important film. - Cath Morris
