Alex welcomes back to the show the former Director of Advanced Space Programs Development for the U.S. Air Force in the Ford and Carter administrations, and a former United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 101 combat missions, Robert Bowman. Mr. Bowman was an early public critic of the Strategic Defense Initiative ( SDI, also aka "Star Wars" ) during the Reagan administration.

Alex also talks with Owen J.J. Stone, aka OhDoctah, founder of Inquiring Mindz Media and a frequent cohost of This Week in Tech and NSFW.

Alex goes into a 4th and a 5th hour today, concentrating primarily on topics related to the nuclear emergency in Japan. I am recording the 5th hour from the stream because GCN does not provide podcast files for 5th hour segments. This will make the rest of today's uploads somewhat later.

UPDATE: Today's broadcast has gone into a 6th hour. Alex signed off at 5 hours 43 minutes, but said he might break in on rebroadcast stream if he has breaking news on the Japanese nuclear emergency.
