Here is evidence that the great adventurer actually ventured beyond the poles into a rich land inhabited by a race of super-beings as well as possibly refugee scientists and SS members of Hitler's dreaded Nazi regime. Can it be possible that down in the middle of the Earth there is another Earth? That a few hundred miles or so away, separated from us by ground and rock and vapor and such things, there is a great country inhabited by a great race? As theories go, the idea that the Earth is hollow does not garner a lot of respect. For most people, the hollow Earth is probably a close second to the “Earth is flat” theory on that big list of “crack-pot” ideas. Nevertheless, as long as there have been people able to sit around a camp-fire, tales of a mysterious inner world have been part of mankind’s heritage. Unlike the flat Earth, or even the giant turtle, the hollow Earth has not disappeared into that great dustbin of quaint and old fashioned myths of our ancestors. No longer does anyone have stories to tell of angels taking them up on-high to view the flat Earth; but even into this modern age of spaceflight and personal computers, there are still claims of personal encounters with the lands and people of the inner world. The idea of the hollow Earth is still so tantalizing that Dr. Brooks Agnew, a physicist and engineer, is planning an upcoming expedition to the inner Earth in an attempt to find the northern polar opening. Dr. Agnew hopes to board the commercially owned Russian icebreaker Yamal in the port of Murmansk, and to sail into the polar sea just beyond Canada's Arctic islands.

Operation "Highjump" & The UFO Connection

In 1947, Admiral Richard E. Byrd led 4,000 military troops from the U.S., Britain and Australia in an invasion of Antarctica called "Operation Highjump", and at least one follow-up expedition. That is fact. It is undeniable. But... the part of the story that is seldom told, at least in "official" circles, is that Byrd and his forces encountered heavy resistance to their Antarctic venture from "flying saucers" and had to call off the invasion. This aspect of the story was pushed forward, again, a few years ago, when a retired Rear Admiral, allegedly living in Texas, who had been involved in the "invasion" said he was "shocked" when he read material from a documentary, entitled "Fire From The Sky". He allegedly claimed that he knew there had been "a lot of aircraft and rocket shoot-downs", but did not realize the situation was as serious as the documentary presented it. Operation "High Jump", which was, basically an invasion of the Antarctic, consisted of three Naval battle groups, which departed Norfolk, VA, on 2 December, 1946. They were led by Admiral Richard E. Byrd's command ship, the ice-breaker "Northwind," and consisted of the catapult ship "Pine Island," the destroyer "Brownsen," the aircraft-carrier "Philippines Sea," the U.S. submarine "Sennet," two support vessels "Yankee" and "Merrick," and two tankers "Canisted" and "Capacan", the destroyer "Henderson" and a floatplane ship "Currituck". A British-Norwegian force and a Russian force, and I believe some Australian and Canadian forces were also involved.
