2011.01.25 interview with Seth Mnookin, author of _The Panic Virus_

On the radio news and analysis program, "The World" (http://theworld.org/ - produced by the BBC, Public Radio International (PRI) and public radio station WGBH in Boston) of 25 January 2011, the show's anchor Marco Werman interviewed writer Seth Mnookin about his new book, _The Panic Virus: A True Story of Medicine, Science and Fear_. The thesis of the author appears to imply that campaigns against childhood vaccinations are misguided and dangerous.

Update:

I see that the forum mentioned above is actually quite lively, with most of the contributors challenging Seth M. on his interpretation of the events upon which he reports. I also discovered that there's a three minute video embedded in the forum page (http://youtube.com/watch?v=wFojLeJU4Wc) in which the author reads a bit from his book. From my point of view, the choice of this passage is rather telling, as is the abrupt way in which it ends - seeminly for "dramatic effect." Judge for yourself.
