In a unique collaboration with top archaeologists at new excavation sites in the Nile Delta, experts in the history of religion, and natural scientists investigating today's ecological catastrophes, this series provides answers to some of the most intriguing questions of world history: did the Ten Plagues really happen? Were the Hebrews ever slaves in Egypt? Was there ever an Exodus?
1. Duel on the Nile
In the first episode of the three-part series, The Biblical Plagues, scholars deal with the first six natural disasters. In the Nile, scientists discovered deadly microorganisms that caused the fish to die and a stress situation among the frog population.
2. Darkness over Egypt
For a long time, scientists have tried to prove that nine of the Ten Plagues described in the Old Testament point to a serious breakdown of the climate, triggering an ecological chain reaction. Apart from theological considerations, scholars all over the world have studied individual phenomena, trying to explain the causes of this Biblical disaster.
3. Flight from Egypt
Although nine disastrous plagues had already devastated the land along the Nile, Pharaoh remained stubborn and would not release Moses and his people from slavery. And so their God, Yahweh, planned his final assault: At midnight, he sent death over Egypt - all the firstborn, Man or beats, had to die ... there was no escape.

i think of job these days as...
an entity in the workplace equivalent to a position of employment....
when someone mentions LORD in the bible, i intentionally mis-interpret it as
DOLR, a cipher for DOLLAR(s), maybe something more appropriate these days...
you know, with job as a legal entity placeholder for a position of employment...
it'd be like...every job wants to be manned by the best person appropriate for it...
but firing people is impolite...and the people that have their jobs want to keep them...
so....what did the book say? i totally forgot, but....hey...maybe it makes some sense....
Hordes of Scarabs Flying inside the house...
"We have some sort of insect life in here as well, it's either cockroaches, beetles or scarabs and I can't tell which, they all fly and look the same to me. Interesting thing, given my claims of the health-damaging nature of the apartment, at least in my (maybe particularly vulnerable) situation, that, even though I pay close attention to avoid stepping on any of them (if I find any of them alive, I just pick them up with a piece of paper and drown them in the kitchen sink), it's like they end up dead on their own anyway. On the wooden floors, in particular, where there could be alleged contamination. They usually run as fast as they can, so it's weird to see them just dying of nothing"

Plus...with them there...Nana said it's the dirty migrant Construction Workers that brought this infestation here...cockroaches...that's...uhm...bullshit...she's used to saying what people want to hear...pointing fingers...name-calling....anything to get out of taking personal responsibility...it didn't take long to figure out that these fellas fly...but what do you do when there's many...
