Take an animated journey into the depths of the human mind with Timothy Leary, Aldous Huxley and Alan Watts. This documentary combines stylish, minimalist animation with a rich, immersive soundscape to create a unique cinematic spectacle, guiding us through three psychedelic trips that changed western culture forever.
Sixty years later we discuss these historic trips with twelve leading current thinkers - including Gabor Maté, Graham Hancock, Dennis McKenna and Rick Doblin - asking the question: "What can expanded states of mind teach us about ourselves, the world and our place in it?"
Should I pirate this documentary? It sounds really good. I ripped off a Terence McKenna documentary once a long time ago and got in trouble for it. It made me think twice about pirating things... But I'll do it. Give me a few hours lol
Unfortunately this video does not have a download option on Vimeo. Only On Demand stream. My FireFox download video streams cannot capture it either because they have found a way around that as well. There is probably a way though that I am unaware of.
How did they know you ripped the Terence Mckenna one?
I wouldn't do it if it was watermarked or trackable in any way, someone else will do it sooner or later.
I think it's on Amazon, if that's any good.
Someone mentioned extreme download manager (XDM)
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xdman/
Use youtube-dl which is updated weekly
I don't think youtube-dl can grab vimeo on-demand streams.
I know a guy who knows a guy who did exactly that and uploaded it here.
It was a documentary called Cognition Factor. A lot of these people spend a lot of time working on their projects and then it gets pirated right away. I might have admitted to it, I can't remember. But most people who download a torrent wouldn't buy the DVD or stream anyways and are getting exposed to the information they wouldn't otherwise. So I still support pirating.
I will try the youtube.dl extension later. I have Journeys to the Edge of Consciousness in my Vimeo library.
I was able to download a trailer for the documentary in mp4 format, but not the entire video. I input my username and password etc but get an error. It's a little tricky and I don't know enough code lol. I will continue to use youtube-dl though, it works quite well.
Sometimes you need to use the browser's inspection tool to find the right URL. It usually ends in .m3u8
I figured it out. YouTube-DLG is the way to go! All piraters should use this...
