Hi all,
Great site you have here. I've been interested all this stuff ever since I started watching The X-Files way back when (not a fan of the recent ones though :(). I used to download terrible quality documentaries only from DC++ because I thought torrents were virus laden temptations :D
Having some issues though with The Ultimate Esoteric Archives that hopefully you can help me with. I use qBittorrent and it's constantly giving me I/O bit errors. Not one or two but I have to keep pause restarting or rechecking every 15 minutes or less. I have loads of space, tried turning off AV and Malwarebytes with no joy. Torrents from everywhere else work no problem. I've tried other torrent clients too and they show no seeders for some reason (except on one experimental new torrent client which seems a bit buggy tbh).
Thanks and thanks again in advance for any tips on fixing the I/O issue.
Do you have a link to the torrent you're having a problem with?
Hi there,
I tried the big one called Ultimate Esoteric Archive - A-G. I get an error with the torrent file so have to use the magnets.

There's 3 parts and also had the same with M-N. Haven't tried O.

152GB of thousands of files is waaaaay too large for a number of reasons. It breaks clients (it might be breaking yours), it broke this site's torrent handling software and there is no valid reason to do it in the first place. This particular torrent is poorly organized and contains empty or worthless files. Sorry, you're on your own with this one.
Thanks for having a look. All I really wanted were the books from it but didn't want to have to dig through a 152GB torrent to find them but it wasn't as bad as I thought.
There are loads of compressed files that I don't even know what they are so I went through the content tab in qbittorrent and unchecked everything but the books (that I could see) and it reduced it down to about 15GB and it downloaded fine. Not a single I/O error.
