A former House of Commons official’s personal account - a learning experience that will surprise.

Never trust Canadians!!
While somehow cultivating a global reputation as friendly and polite, in reality Canadians are an evil, demented people. When not busy clubbing baby seals, they eat the tails of their own national animal, the beaver!
They actually seem to enjoy them - even selling them to unsuspecting tourists right in the nation's capital!! What kind of sick freaks would do that??
To add insult to injury, they put absurd toppings on the beavers' tails, presumably to disguise their true origins. Disgusting!!
They have avoided the full wrath of the law by not killing the beavers that they maim - they are returned to the wild to be fobbed off as otters. Sad!!

I’m a Canadian. You’re full of shit.
I looked around on the internet. Found this guy. An outdoors man/ hunter showing
how to cook a beaver tail and why not to bother.. because it’s mostly fat.
Apparently there are still North Americans who trap.. skin for pelts and eat beaver.
Although the preferences seem to be things like moose and deer.

Outside the bedroom.. Canadian beaver eaters are largely confined to pastry.
