Dominic O’Brien has put together the finest audio memory course available. Period. This is the best audio training course I have listened too.

If I may, let me comment on the description of the course. From websites, including Amazon, they do a poor job of describing this course. Precisely because this is such a richly detailed memory course, the descriptions do not give it proper due. Aside, the entire course runs approximately 6.5 Hours. This is a high quality educational product, including production, audio, information, instruction, exercises, and learning. I cannot give enough praise here. So, in finishing my praise, let me mention to you what is included with this course and show you why I enjoyed it so much.

From the beginning, I especially liked the speed of the course; it is nice and slow. Even methodical, not hurried like many Spanish audio courses I have listened too. Because of Dominic’s tremendous communication ability, I gained insights that were not available from reading his books. Dominic has an English accent and this lends to the presentation of the course in exceptional ways. The more I think about it, I found this to be an important feature of the course. Because of Dominic’s communication ability, I fully experienced his view on memory. Also, in doing this, I came away with an entirely different perspective on the techniques he uses.

I will state, in being an experienced user of mnemonics, there are not many new techniques available from the course; they have been presented in one form or another from the countless books on the market. However, Dominic’s presentation and packaging of his techniques are the life-blood of the series. His presentations gave me confidence in understanding of the techniques I rarely use. The exercises are not merely glossed-over and quickly described; they are shown in such a way that the listener is led through the journey of experiencing the techniques and understanding how they work, including being tested on the techniques. I feel that if more foreign language audio courses presented their material this way it would help alleviate many learning difficulties. In relation to Dominic’s audio course, some of the finest audio courses I have discovered are the Pimsleur language courses, also Spanish by Association by Michael Gruneberg. On the reading side, an exceptional book I recently read is entitled “How to Learn any Language” by Barry Farber. Of course, Quantum Memory Power is included within this group of language instruction.

In the beginning of the course, Dominic explains his concept called ALI. The mnemonic he uses for this is, “Mohammed Ali.” ALI- stands for Association, Location, and Imagination. This is the bedrock of Dominic’s teaching throughout the course. He uses ALI as a philosophical cornerstone in making the course memorable and describes it as “the three golden keys to memory”. Throughout the course, Dominic routinely refers back to ALI in his teachings.

In my version of Quantum Memory, I did not have access to the workbook. Although I assume it would be worthwhile to study, but probably not ultimately needed. As seen on other sites, here is a basic rundown of the memory course.
