I haven't watched this yet,
I haven't watched this yet, but it appears to be about the "ketogenic diet", which seems reasonable - but if they are saying we should be carnivorous, and only eat meat, then I am not sure I am on board that train! I'll probably watch it later though, at any rate...
ETA: Okay, I am watching this now, and they absolutely are saying that we should all be carnivorous, apparently because our ancestors all hunted and ate meat exclusively. And many of the doctors and experts in the film are stating that there have been quite incredible results of switching sick people to carnivorous diets etc. But I think switching any diet away from processed foods, and even gluten-based diets, will have dramatic results, even if it's vegan or vegetarian! So it's probably more a Western diet of junk food problem, as opposed to it needing to be 100% meat or 100% vegetarian. Once again, a sensible middle range seems the best option...
I went keto a couple years
I went keto a couple years ago. I can eat most veggies, just no carbs or sugars. Worked wonders for me.
I've sort of overlooked this
I've sort of overlooked this for some time and not really taken it seriously until recently, but I have heard from reputable doctors like Dr. Joel Wallach, that gluten based diets, like what we have in our Western societies, damages our digestive health and decreases our life spans by upwards of 30 years etc. From what I understand, it's gluten that causes "leaky gut syndrome" and allows toxins in to the body and brain: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/gluten-leaky-gut
So the grain-based foods and flour, bread, cereal, pancakes, waffles, pastas etc is surreptitiously, apparently, causing all kinds of health problems. Some will call it carbs too, and it is related, but cutting out gluten, and carbs, from the diet seems to be the magic key to good health and reversing serious health problems. So the people in this documentary aren't lying about that happening to them when they switched to all meat. And the vegans and vegetarians are doing and saying the same thing. So I see that as the common denominator...
