Cult icon, enigma, recluse...the life of Syd Barrett, founding member of Pink Floyd, is full of unanswered questions—until now. Set against the social context of the explosive sixties, the documentary pieces together his meteoric rise to pop stardom, his creative and destructive impulses, breakdown, exit from the band and subsequent life alone. Directed by Storm Thorgerson (Hipgnosis) and award-winning director Roddy Bogawa, Have You Got It Yet? features new interviews with Syd’s friends, lovers, family and Pink Floyd band mates.

Not conspiratorial enough for you?
I know a guy who knows a guy who saw Syd Barrett, standing on stage in front of hundreds of people, let off a rip roaring Masonic fart, then grin and say "Well that'll make some more room!"
Still doubt, skeptic?
Actually - the BIGGEST
Actually - the BIGGEST conspiracy / myth is whether Syd was damaged beyond repair [and I've spent a fair few occasions with acid casualty types over the years] by the other middle class band dudes supposedly dosing him up and shutting him in a wardrope or closET...?!
Let's see if this film covers this fairly well known point...

According to multiple sources
According to multiple sources, nobody in the band lived near or hung out with Barrett while he was tripping on too much acid.
There were flaky people around him, including one person who might have locked him in a closet.

was it Roger Waters?..lol

That doesn't shock me...
The well to do university band mates LOVE Syds whacky, psychedelic lyrics BUT left him in isolation to generate more "art" because one minute with an A-SYD [get it?!] casualty can seem like an hour - even to a patient friend. But given Syd helped luanch one of the most popular psychedelic bands ever - they should feel a little guilty...
I wonder if that was the roots of Roger Waters getting tired of the others??
I'd best watch it now...
this was a great film.
