Adding files to post: New post or edit existing one?

Hello, I released a torrent a few weeks ago with 827 audio recordings from the Heaven's Gate group. Since then, I have managed to source even more audio tapes, which fill in large gaps in the current release.

What is the preferred way to amend a release here? Should I make a new post with a new torrent? Or is the preferred way to delete the current torrent, upload the new torrent, and acknowledge the update in the description?

If it matters, all files in the existing release are present in the new release, so people who already downloaded the torrent can move those files to the new download folder and they will only download the new files. The exception is the compressed release (ZIP), which may share some chunks with the existing download, but would likely need to be re-downloaded in its entirety to "update" the release.

just stick up another torrent

and note in the description it's in addition to the original tortrent , or upload a new torrent to replace the original and those with the original files can just download the ones they don't have.
1st option easier

yeah

this is way better.

Comment on the original with a link to the new one.

This way people know they need to update their torrent.

Got it!

Perfect, I'll do just that once I fully compile the release! I think that's ideal as well.

If you are replacing the old torrent with a new one, click Flags on the old torrent then "obsolete this torrent" and then stick a link to the updated one ;)
