The Social Future
By Rudolf Steiner
GA 332A
Read by Dale Dale Brunsvold (http://www.rudolfsteineraudio.com)
As part of Steiner's intense activity in the social field in 1919, these lectures show that a healthy social organism depends on the separation of the three spheres of society: the cultural sphere including art, science, religion, and education; the legal-political sphere; and the economic sphere. This membering into three spheres will overcome the polarizing tendencies of modern life and make the economy the servant of society rather than its master.
Lecture 1: The Social Question as a Cultural Question, a Question of Equity, and a Question of Economics.
Lecture 2: The Organization of a Practical Economic Life on the Associative Basis. Transformation of the Market and Fixing of Prices. Money and Taxation. Credit.
Lecture 3: Legal Questions. The Task and the Limitations of Democracy. Public Law. Criminal Law.
Lecture 4: Cultural Questions. Spiritual Science (Art, Science, Religion). The Nature of Education. Social Art.
Lecture 5: The Cooperation of the Spiritual, Political, and Economic Departments of Life for the Building Up of a Unified Threefold Social Organism.
Lecture 6: National and International Life in the Threefold Social Organism.
