Off the top of my head, and
Off the top of my head, and without Googling it, I would guess Primal Scream. But it doesn't ring a bell just yet!
I have been collecting .FLAC albums now, replacing all my old mp3's. I got onto a private music tracker called REDacted, which is good, but they basically force everyone to upload a ridiculous amount to have good ratio. It's for collectors of obscure music of all types. But I still recommend Soulseek to everyone, that has most everything and you don't need ratio!

Marillion from the album Misplaced childhood - Pseudo silk kimono.
decent album but clutching at straws wasn't so great. not bad but not great. pretty sure Fish left after this album and it all went shite.
Fish with Marillion.. fucking great. without.... just another band.
i have a signed copy of the white lael from that album. Fish is from Near Edinburgh and i met him through a mutual friend who is a sound engineer.
Use to see Derek fairly regularly but he's moved to the Hebrides
Phish-less
Hey Pax - well spotted.
I'm hardly a fan these days - but i continue to think that in psychedelic type "prog" rock-ish synth terms - Marillion were one of the best. Plus even today I'd say Derek William Fish was a true poET for our epoch.
And like you I've not bought and hardly heard the other Hogarth[?] band material.
If you're from up that way [aside from hebrides!? - did he really move up there?] - you may know a castle like place he bought after Misplaced Childhood with his new bird "Tara" or something.... I recall The NME doing a "CRIBS" type article on it...

"Warm Wet Circles" from
"Warm Wet Circles" from Cluching at Straws and a few other tracks I thought were pretty good....
But the album was mostly about sitting in bars and the trip into alcoholic oblivion.... which I can't related to literally - oblivion episodes yes - but not via that inebriant. :-p
