I will just type a little about my views on this show and Mr. Derren Brown and then just copy the wiki introduction to the show. This is one of Derren's finest experiments aired on UK TV. You WILL be shocked by how easy it is for people with the right knowledge, skills and personality to get others to do, within certain limits, almost anything you want them too. As long as you have their time and attention, that is ALL that is needed.
Similar tactics to those which Derren uses are used in advertising and marketing, government propaganda, party political broadcasts and political party "conferences". It is used in schools, certain churches, mosques and most definitely throughout most levels of Scientology.
Derren shares his techniques to enable us, the viewers to be aware of ALL THE INFORMATION, and then be in a place to make much more informed decision as regards the supernatural, spirituality, subliminal persuasion, the New Age movement and more.
I would suggest only reading the little description below and look at the wikipedia page AFTER watching, there ARE spoilers in the rest of the info, whereas the description below is what you are told by Derren in the opening scenes anyway.
Also, I watch Derren's things twice, a day or so apart, after knowing the outcome you begin to "notice" a LOT more of his tactics the second time round.

The Heist is a 2006 British Derren Brown television special that aired on Channel 4. In the special, Brown uses the cover of a motivational seminar and documentary to see if he can persuade four members of a group of thirteen businessmen and -women to steal £100,000 in what they believe is a genuine "armed robbery" of a bank's security guard (using a realistic-looking toy gun).
The special was filmed over two weeks, during which Brown used various psychological tools, including conditioning, anchoring and suggestion, to get the group into a mental state in which they would willingly try to rob a security guard, without ever directly being told to do so. The anchoring involved creating an emotional state that combined feelings of invulnerability, euphoria and aggression, that was then tied to various stimuli, such as the color green, the song "Can You Feel It" by The Jacksons, and the sight of a security guard uniform; which could then all be presented to the participants when it came time to perform "the heist".
The participants were also asked to perform various deviant acts, such as stealing sweets from a store, which served both to condition participants to enjoy the feeling of criminality, and to identify the four members who would be most likely to perform the heist.
