Explores the intertwined fates of trees and humans in this poetic portrait of environmentalist Bob Brown and the Forest.
From a seedling to forest elder: the film is a masterclass that draws on Bob's 50 years of inspiring activism, from the Franklin campaign for Tasmania's last wild river, to today's battle for the Tarkine rain forest. Told in Bob's own words, his story is interwoven with the extraordinary life cycle of Australia's giant trees, bought to the screen with stunning cinematography and immersive animated forest landscapes.

This is really good, thanks for sharing an x265 copy of it here! I might upload the 1080 copy later...

Right, I guess the difference then is that it was an h264 copy. I watched half of it in 265, but decided to try out the larger size because it was playing on my HDTV (and I liked all the forest scenes etc).

Out of curiosity, was the x265 noticeably crappier?

It was still pretty decent, especially given it was like 1/3rd the original size. But for certain movies I prefer High Definition because it isn't as pixelated and is a bit clearer. But most people don't want to download an 8gb film!

Thanks. My eyes are not the best, but I can't tell the difference.

I have recently had to start supplementing Lutein and Zeaxanthin for overall eye health. It's not just my age, but I think the blue light from my computer screen is frying my eyeballs and giving me multiple eye floaters!
But yeah, x265 is pretty much just as good as the original - sort of like a 320kbps mp3 versus a FLAC. Basically the same thing, just subtle differences in quality.
