1. Necronomicon: The Wanderings of Alhazred - by Donald Tyson

First mentioned by H.P. Lovecraft in the 1920s and referred to throughout his fiction, the Necronomicon—a spurious book of occult knowledge—is so infamous that horror cognoscenti playfully speculate it might exist. Tyson (The Power of the Word) isn't the first writer to attempt a full "translation" of the forbidden text, but his may be the most comprehensive. After a brief history of the book's penning in the eighth century by the mad Arab Abdul Alhazred (eaten by an invisible nasty for his efforts), the text unfolds as a series of interrelated chapters that anatomize Lovecraft's monstrous entities (Cthulhu, Yog-Sothoth, etc.) in archaically musty prose, leavened with paraphrases of familiar passages from HPL's stories. Tyson embellishes this core material with the sort of astrologic and mystical content that Lovecraft himself considered nonsense. Readers who know Lovecraft's book from its evocative fragments won't be dissuaded from their belief that there are some things they are not meant to know.

2. The Book of Fallen Angels - Michael Howard 2004

In some ways this book is a sequel to The Pillars of Tubal Cain by Nigel Jackson and Michael Howard, in another way it is a prequel in the sense that it expands on the material and themes specifically contributed by the author to that book. However it also stands on its own as a concise, popular and reader-friendly introduction to this mysterious, and sometimes obscure and sinister, subject. This book challenges the concept that the fallen angels, or ‘Ben Elohim’ fell from grace and became demons, with their leader Azazel or Shemyaza, identified with the rebel angel Lucifer, becoming, according to the Christian texts, the Prince of Darkness and supreme principal of evil.

Topics covered include what angels are and what they represent; their ancient origins; the major differences between Lucifer/Lumiel and Satan and how the early church demonised Lumiel and the pagan deities of the Middle East; the fallen angels and their stellar lore; the belief that the fallen angels are the same as the faeries and djinns of European and Arabian folklore; the universal myth of the great flood; the Nephelim or Anakim; the female consort of Lucifer, frequently associated in mythology with the dark moon goddesses and sorcery - Lilith, Hecate, Ishtar, Astarte, Asherah, Diana, the Shekinah and Sophia; the mystical symbolism of the rose in occult tradition; the process of cosmic redemption manifesting as a series of incarnations in human form; heretical cults and secret societies through history and in modern times claiming to follow Luciferian beliefs including the Sethians, the Essenes, Knights Templars, the Yezedi, the Ophites, the Mandean, the Order of the Morning Star and the Our Lady of Endor Coven amongst others; Arabic influences on the medieval witch cult; Renaissance angelic magic; the ‘teaching angels’ or archangels who feature prominently in angelic magick - Michael, Raphael, Gabriel and Two appendices are included with invocations to the Lord Lumiel

3. Magie Der Runen - Michael Howard 1985

Runic symbolism is detailed together with descriptions of each of the eight runes of Freya's, Haegl's & Tyr's Aetts with divinity, religious symbolism & spiritual meanings based on The Anglo Saxon Rune Poem. 11. Jesuits, Freemasons, and the Illuminati - Edward Hendrie

No doubt, we will see the return of the inquisitional persecution of Christians by the
Catholic Church. One of the principle priestly orders in the Catholic Church that is working
feverishly toward instituting another great inquisition is the Jesuits. The Jesuits were established
by Ignatius of Loyola. Ignatius of Loyola was the leader of a secret occult organization known as
the Alumbrados (Spanish for Illuminati). On August 15, 1534, Loyola started a sister
organization to the Alumbrados, which he called the Society of Jesus, it is more commonly
known today as the Jesuits. Loyola was arrested by the Dominican order of Catholic inquisitors,
who were concerned with his growing influence and power throughout Europe. Because of his
influential allies among the principalities of Europe, he was granted an audience with the pope.
Loyola promised the pope his allegiance and agreed to do the bidding of the papacy throughout
the world. Pope Paul III formally approved the Jesuits as a Catholic religious order in his 1540
papal bull Regimini Militantis Eccclesiae.

12. LEGENDS OF THE GODS: The Egyptian Texts, edited with Translations - E. A. Wallis Budge 1912

The welcome which has been accorded to the volumes of this Series, and
the fact that some of them have passed into second and third editions,
suggest that these little books have been found useful by beginners in
Egyptology and others. Hitherto the object of them has been to supply
information about the Religion, Magic, Language, and History of the
ancient Egyptians, and to provide editions of the original texts from
which such information was derived. There are, however, many branches
of Egyptology which need treatment in a similar manner in this Series,
and it has been suggested in many quarters that the time has now
arrived when the publication of a series of groups of texts
illustrating Egyptian Literature in general might well be begun.
Seeing that nothing is known about the authors of Egyptian works, not
even their names, it is impossible to write a History of Egyptian
Literature in the ordinary sense of the word. The only thing to be
done is to print the actual works in the best and most complete form
possible, with translations, and then to put them in the hands of the
reader and leave them to his judgment.
