Weird synchronicity....weirder than normal...yesterday
Ok, how weird is this!! (And those of you who know my first name....well then it adds an extra dimension to the synchronicity)

My husband always fascinated me with his stories about what he learned about the WAY occult side of martial arts from a teacher in San Francisco when he lived there. The teacher had been in the Vietnam military before coming to San Francisco and was my husband's good friend. He told my husband many fascinating stories that I still make him retell because they were SO fascinating.

And yesterday, I don't even know what started the conversation but we were talking about what Dim Mak entailed. As it had been told to him, it was something that actually really was a black circle on a hand, that as I understood was probably something like a jail-house tat but was in actuality something that self administered in incremental doses to the practioner's hand. Thus, the practioner was immune to its effects as it was gradually built up. But the "poison hand" was very literal. It was a black circle on the hand.

Now, the really really weird synchronicity was in my encountering a scene in one of the trailer's for the movie The Ring where a hand looked just like that!!! Its been a long time since I saw the movie so the exact context of the scene I cannot expound on here.

But I just thought that was SO WEIRD because only hours before we were talking about something that as I envisioned it (based on his explanation) probably would have looked just like that marking on the hand from the movie trailer.

So, today I figured I would read more about Dim Mak online. And basically, it talked about the meridians and it being utilized like a deadly acupuncture, but only spoke about strikes along meridians, things like that.
Did not mention anything about something you physically made or saw.

Then I came upon this oddity and thought it was interesting:

The Count Dante - Dim Mak ad?

I love/hate that feeling!!!! It is like Deja vu' times 10.

I'd swear I've seen that Count Dante ad in a million old comic books or somewhere...but i never paid any
mind to it until now.

hehehe -"After all, I don’t remember reading about a wave of mysterious Dim Mak related deaths in the 60’s and 70’s. "

wow 396 hits on goo gell.

Results 1 - 10 of about 396 for "dim mak" "count dante".

Hilarious and curious and much appreciated. Makes me want to go watch 'Game of death II'. :freaked:

You're welcome fjaneson. The Count Dante really threw me as that didn't sound very Asian to me.

"Black Dragon" was another term used by the Vietnamese adept as the school that it originated from
and he could explain it in detail, even though he himself was not a practioner of that school, so perhaps it is something well known in Asian circles but not in the West.
