A Question for Christians on God
Quote:
Quote:The one thing that I do know about the Jehovah's Witness people - they do not drink tea.
I offered them some once and the reply - "no, we are not allowed to drink it due to the tannic acid."
yesterday i met the JW who gave me a lift back from their meeting. i asked about the tea thing and she said there wasn't a problem with drinking tea, she drinks tea. she said, it's a Mormon thing.

I could be confusing the two groups.
It was a couple of guys that we let in (years ago) to talk about their religion, if I have misrepresented one for the other - it's an accident.

You know as I sit here and type, I am remembering their visit, and come to think about it - they left a copy of 'pearl of great price" so yes that would be Mormon. At that time each group was knocking on doors.

Sorry, that was unintended. Like I said I know very little about the JW, never been to one of there services or a mormon service for that matter.

That said, I do agree with some of the things that I've read about them, in their web publications. The things that I've been told by others that are supposedly wrong about them, I still haven't seen in any of these writings. perhaps I should go and check them out in person.
So far, out of all the different churches that I have visited, - I've only found ONE that I felt had a teacher that was worthy to be listened to. Quite disheartening really.
&Alice laughed, &There's no use trying,& she said: &one can't believe impossible things.& &I daresay you haven't had much practice,& said the Queen. &When I was your age I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.&
- Lewis Carroll

&Things are seldom as they seem ... Skim milk masquerades as cream.&
- Gilbert and Sullivan (Pinafore)

At NASA, it really is rocket science, and the decision makers really are rocket scientists.
But a body of research that is getting more and more attention points to the ways that smart people working collectively can be dumber than the sum of their parts. .. Irwin Janis? &Groupthink:& is a mode of thinking that people engage in when they are deeply involved in a cohesive in-group, when the members' striving for unanimity override realistic appraisals ? It is the triumph of concurrence over good sense, and authority over expertise.&
-John Schwartz & Matthew L. Wade

A Question for Christians on God
Quote:How can he love you? If you break on of his 10 commandments you go to hell and suffer forever...BUT he still loves you there
pls read NDE's.
Salem Kirban quotes Weishaupt gloating over his successes in a letter to Illuminatus Cato:

The most admirable thing of all is that great Protestant and reformed theologians [Lutherans and Calvinists] who belong to our Order really believe they see in it the true and genuine mind of the Christian religion. Oh man, what can not you be brought to believe?

These people swell our numbers and fill our treasury; get busy and make these people nibble at our bait.. .but do not tell them our secrets. They must be made to believe that the low degree that they have reached is the highest

This is because God expects conspiracies and intends to punish the evil doers.

Think of Bush on trial and the prosecuting angles bring out all the 911 victims.

A few million crying for eternal damnation of the 911 terrorists might turn the tide
against salvation.
